Cameron Herold argues that his attention-deficit disorder functions as a "superpower" that enables him to notice market signals, customer and supplier behavior, and small data points others might miss. He uses this broad noticing to spot many potential opportunities, then prioritizes and delegates which ideas to act on rather than pursuing every idea immediately.

So my attention deficit disorder is actually a superpower. It allows me to see everything that's happening inside of the market. The customers, my suppliers. I noticed the trends. I noticed little numbers jumping off of websites. I noticed all the tiny little things that are happening with, you know, any of the data or trends in the marketplace. And it also allows me to see every potential opportunity and act really quickly on them. I think if I was so hyper focused, I would miss those opportunities. So the way that I use attention Deficit disorder as my superpower is I recognize it not as a disorder, but as the ability to notice everything. It's almost like attention disbursement being a very huge strength that if I was so hyper focused, I would miss all those big opportunities. So the way I use it to my advantage is I allow myself to notice everything. And then I don't necessarily start with every single opportunity that I notice right away. I've learned how to prioritize those opportunities and how to work with my team to help them prioritize the opportunities so they don't take every single thing that I notice, every single idea that I have, and put those into motion right away. I recognize that just because I notice them, just because they're an idea, doesn't mean we have to action them all right away.
