Cameron Herold urges entrepreneurs and employees to take ownership of their personal growth by regularly self-analyzing strengths and weaknesses, proactively improving skills (e.g., written communication, time management), delegating weaknesses, and using AI to automate tasks. He warns that workers won't be replaced by AI itself but by people who leverage AI effectively.

If we sit and wait for someone to tell us where to grow, to tell us what to work on, we're really kind of surrendering everything to somebody else. Or we can become that master of our own destiny and we can decide where we want to go, we can decide what we want to work on, we can decide how we want to get better. I look at all entrepreneurs and all employees. The ones who are going to do really, really well are the ones who are deciding for themselves where they need to get better. They're the ones who are sitting down and self examining and saying, you know what? I'm really bad at written communication. I should work on that. I'm really bad at time management. I should get better at that. But don't wait for your boss to tell you that. Just look in the mirror and ask yourself on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis, what am I doing really well that I should continue doing? What am I doing poorly at that I should work on or delegate? What things am I working on that I can get AI to actually automate for me? Because right now, no one is going to get replaced because of AI, but they will get replaced because of a person who is leveraging AI.
