There's a great quote that I heard recently by Peter Drucker. He said, if you show me your calendar and you show me your bank account, I'll show you what you really care about. So if you tell me that you care about your health, show me your calendar, I'll prove to you you don't. You say you care about your career. Show me how much time you put in your calendar on a weekly basis to grow yourself. Show me how much money you're investing in yourself. And it doesn't have to be lots, but like, are you buying a book or are you devouring a podcast and find all the stuff that's even available for free? But are you dedicating time to. To actually do this stuff? I was talking to one of our COO alliance members. He's like, I don't have time to come to the two hour call this month. I'm like, okay, if you work 40 hours a week, times four weeks a month, that's 160 hours a month. A two hour call is like 1.4% of your month. You still have the other 98.6% of the time to be busy doing all the other that you do. You do have time, 1.4% of your time to work on your skill sets. So all of us should be putting time in our calendar on a daily and weekly basis to work on our skills.
