Dan Martell breaks down the three core values that scaled his company: Be the Example, where leaders embody growth and learn from mistakes. Build the People, developing leaders who grow the business. Simple Scales, choosing elegant solutions over complexity.
Can you tell us what the core values are for Martel Media?
We have three core values here. Martel Media. So one is the first one is to be the example, and again is if you think about our purpose, which is to inspire people to be their best versions of themselves, then we better make sure that we're doing that. So that's about a growth mindset. Always pushing yourself to the next level. It doesn't mean being perfect. You can't get to the next level without making mistakes. So you need to try stuff. But always push yourself.
Always be growing fat.
So that's number one. The second one is build the people, because the people will build the business. So it's build the people. My job, where I spend most of my time, not only, you know, here, but also learning how to get better, is about building leaders. So if I build leaders, they're going to build leaders and they're going to build the company.
And that's building a skill set, but also the confidence of leaders too. Right. I see you really working well with that.
And then the third one is simple scales. So anybody can, you know, complex the business. We're always trying to find ways that how do we solve problems in an elegant way that's not going to complicate.
Them, and.
That'S sometimes really hard to do. So we'll try and break something. We'll throw something out to see if it breaks. Yes, it's easy to throw people at it, but is there a way that we can automate it? What does that look like? So the more that we can scale and make it simple, that's what we work on every single day.
