I was driving my daughter to school this week, and she said, daddy, what's going on with the market? Made me really happy. I give my daughter $500 each year to put into any stock that she wants so she can pay attention to the businesses that affect our lives. And she said to me, daddy, are you going to have your business on the markets one day? And originally I was like, that's adorable that my daughter thinks that's just something easy that you can do. And then I was like, oh, my goodness. I think my daughter might believe in big ideas more than I do. It's amazing how kids don't have reason for doubt. They don't have a life experience to be able to doubt that anything is. Of course, they believe in Santa Claus and unicorns as well, but they also believe in their dreams. So I've been wondering, can I adopt a childlike fascination with the things that I want, with my desires, not even think about the doubts or the evidence that I have to the contrary, and just think about why it's possible. Can I unlearn my doubt and just focus on what I want? Because I think if you can't, you can do anything you want.
