EXACTLY how long it takes to make $1,000,000 - 3 Steps to do it FASTER.

Ryan Daniel Moran breaks down the math: four products selling 25 units each daily at $30 per product hits $1M annually. Most people waste 3-6 months deciding what to do. Three things speed it up: an existing audience, $5k-$10k in capital, and a real advantage. Obsessing over speed backfires.

The answer to your question is that it takes two years to cross a million dollar business. But it doesn't have to take that long. In fact, about half of that time is just spent convincing yourself that it's actually gonna happen. But the strategy and the implementation takes way less time. And there are things that you can do to make that process to crossing a million dollars in your business and even shorter than predicted.
Hey everyone, I'm Ryan Daniel Moran and last year I published a book called 12 Months to 1 Million. It's pretty specific what the timeline is in that title. I've seen on average for somebody who is starting a new business for it to take about 12 months before it becomes a million dollar business. In this video I'm going to walk you through that process, but also go through a few things that you can do to make that happen faster. For those of you who are not familiar, I want to walk you through the overall strategy of what I teach inside of 12 months to 1 million. Because the strategy for crossing a million dollar business is third grade math. It's simple stuff. But the Strategy overall is four products that sell 25 sales a day, that's 100 sales a day at a $30 price point is $3,000 a day or about a million dollar business. It's actually a little bit more than that. It takes on average about 12 months. By average I mean like what I've seen people who are new, people who are experienced, people who are doing this for the first time, on average, what does it take? It takes about 12 months to implement that entire thing. Here's the wild part though. Even in my book, in 12 months to 1 million, I say that the first three, three to six months are just decision making. It's figuring out what your product is going to be, who your market is, how you're going to launch this thing. It's all these hard decisions that you got to make before you go take a sale. Now if you take that part out of it, the real timeline to crossing 80 ish thousand dollars a month or having a million dollar business is less than a year. It's that decision making process. It's all of the buffer work up to launch the that is the most difficult part. And a lot of people quit in that period. They quit because they're thinking should I sell this product or this product I'm just gonna give up, Should I do it this way or this way? I just can't do it. And so they bounce around from opportunity to opportunity rather than just picking one and Building the million dollar business. Now, if you're listening to me right now and you're like, oh shit, that's totally me, I've totally been doing that. Fear not, my fair weather friend. I've got a video for you that you should watch that is all about picking the perfect million dollar business. You should click it around this video and you should watch that after this one. That video will help you decide once and for all what your million dollar idea is. And when you implement the strategies that we talk about in this video, you'll be able to shave off months or years from the time it takes for you to cross a million bucks. The first thing that makes the million happen faster is having an audience. When I started my business, we were just grinding. We were just running ads and we were following up with every single customer. I personally called some of our customers on the phone and just asked about their experience and listened to what we could do better. But I would have moved so much faster had we had an audience. And an audience is simply an email list, a blog, a podcast, some way that people are following you and they're your ideal market for the product that you are selling now. We built this over time. We built an email list of about 5,000 people, which isn't a lot, but that was enough for us to smash every single product launch. In fact, my favorite story was we released this very high end supplement in our brand and we didn't know if it was gonna sell because we were coming out of the gate really high end, but we launched it to our audience first and we sold a thousand units within about a week's time. And that audience came back and reviewed our product and gave us hundreds of reviews from the get go, which was a huge strategic advantage over everybody else. Again, we didn't have a big email list, I didn't have a huge podcast, we didn't have a blog at all. And I think this was before Instagram. We just had a few things people on an email list that we built through giveaways and sponsorships and following up with our existing customers. We didn't really have a great strategy for that. We were just building the audience like we were building a plane as it was flying. We were figuring it out, had we been more strategic about that and partnered with an audience or built the audience first, then we would hit the million even faster. This is one of the reasons why inside of our trainings, I work with students to create partnerships with audiences. So that means creating partnerships with influencers and giving them an incentive to be a part of the business, or it means documenting the experience of building the business. I have students that all they do is they document every decision that they're making in their business and they have a few hundred or a few thousand people who are ready to buy from them on launch day. If you do that, then it makes getting to that 25 sales a day a lot faster and easier because you got hundreds of people that are lined up to buy from you. Kind of like when Apple is releasing a new iPhone and people camp out I outside of the store to buy the phone. You can do that in your business, but most people don't. Most people just say they get the product, they try to take a sale and they hope that it works. But if you stack the deck, I call it stacking the deck. In my book, if you line up people and get them ready to buy on launch day by building an audience or partnering with one, then you come out of the gate with sales immediately. And that makes getting to 25 sales a day much faster, which means you can launch the second product very quickly. And, and I do have people who have audiences and do launches and pace a million dollar business in as little as three to six months. That's crazy. Like that is unheard of. But that's the power of having a stacked deck and people ready to buy from you on launch day. The second thing that will help you cross the million faster is having a proper amount of capital. That's just money. I like to tell the story about how I built my first business, my first billion dollar business with a $600 investment. My $600 investment became a million dollar business. That million dollar business ended up doing about $10 million at its peak. I sold that business at a $16 million valuation and it paid me millions of dollars in profit as I owned the business. That's a cool story, right? But there's a really big flaw in that story. If I can turn $600 into, into 15 or $16 million, isn't it kind of stupid that I only put in $600? If you can turn 600 bucks into $1 million, how many times do you want to put in that 600 bucks? A lot more than once. Right? But I was capital strapped and so I was bootstrapping the whole thing and I only had 600 bucks that I was willing to risk. But can you imagine, like, if I knew it's going to be even, even $100,000 payoff, don't I want to put as many $600 units into that machine as possible. Of course, most people don't because they're not confident that their business is going to succeed. But if they were, then they could justify going all in on the business. Now this doesn't mean putting in everything that you have and risking the farm and risking losing your house, but it might mean part of partnering with somebody who has the capital so that you feel freed up to go take the risks that are needed for you to build that million dollar business. Crossing the first million happens faster if you can order enough inventory at the beginning. Crossing the million happens faster if you can properly run advertising to acquire customers. Crossing the million happens faster if you can hire a customer service person who is following up with people to make sure that they had a great equipment experience. Of course, these are all things that you can do yourself. But having a proper amount of capital makes it much easier and more predictable for you to shave off time off that seven figure curve. So if you are scraping things together, put together, what we do is we help our students cast a vision that's exciting enough to attract an investor to partner with one of the people that we have in our members area that funds businesses. I fund businesses. I'm looking for exciting visions to put money in. There's money everywhere. It's not hard to partner with people with money. Most people just don't actually believe in the vision that they are launching. And of course again, you don't have to do that. But it is important that you are properly capitalized. In my book, I say you need at least five to $10,000 to be able to do this. Well, if you don't have that, go partner with somebody. If you do have that, be comfortable being willing to lose that. Because the business model that we talk about is extremely effective. And if you are afraid of losing that money, you're gonna hedge and you're not gonna make proper decisions. But if you are confident that it's gonna work and excited by your vision, then I encourage people to be ready to go all in. And the third thing that makes things happen much faster is by having a strategic advantage. I was having a conversation with someone who is a very successful entrepreneur who said in every business you need to have some sort of secret weapon or a strategic advantage that means you need to have something that no one else has. There's just no getting around this. It can come in a variety of different ways. It can be your talent, it can be who you know, it could be how much money you have, it can be your skill set. It could Be that you're really good at search engine optimization. It could be that you're young and you've got a lot of time. It could be that you've got nothing to lose. It could be who your partner is. It could be that you're charismatic and handsome and good looking and you do YouTube videos. Yes, go out and model what other people are doing and learn what they are doing. But your strategic advantage is unique to you, your business and your team, which is usually just you. When you are just starting out, you can't just look at what other people are doing and copy it exactly. You have a unique perspective, a unique eye, unique desires, a unique network, a unique hunger, a unique situation that gives you a strategic advantage over everybody else. So those are the things that make the curve faster. But there's one big thing that will slow you down. It's kind of ironic to say this, but your attachment, or your need for it to be fast, will slow you down. People who get into the entrepreneurial game and expect to be pacing a million bucks in three months, six months, sometimes even a year, feel this pressure to make things happen very quickly. But what I tell our students is that for the first six months, it feels like nothing is happening. And then all of a sudden things start happening. Your attachment to forcing it or taking risks to make it happen faster is going to slow it down. Because in your brain, if it doesn't happen fast, it must be the wrong thing and you've got to move on to the next thing. And when you do that, you stay stuck in that decision making period of the first three to six months and four years go by and nothing has happened. So your willingness to allow it to unfold will actually make it happen faster. When you don't feel like you need to focus, force it and you can pursue the relationships and the opportunities that you actually feel drawn to. You have the kind of internal space to be able to make this happen fast. And from that zone, things tend to unfold very quickly. Again, on average, I see it be about 12 months. Of course, this is what we help our students do inside of our incubator and our other trainings. And, and if you want some mentorship, some help and some community as you build your million dollar business, we'd be happy and honored to serve you. You can find out more about what we do and how it works in the description of this video or the links around this page. There's a reason why we've seen hundreds of people cross that seven figure threshold and it's because we have a very clear strategy. Four products, 25 sales a day, three $30 price point, that's a million dollars. And because when you double down on your strengths and sprinkle in some of those things that make it happen faster, you have kind of a beautiful formula for having a seven figure business. And once you've crossed that seven figure business, there's like this mental checkbox where you're like, okay, I'm a millionaire. I'm a seven figure entrepreneur. Now I can kind of build the business that I actually want. It's a huge check mark. It's a huge threshold when you cross that. Because now you're in the right mindset and you have enough of a foundation to build a business that can scale to $10 million or more or for you to sell the business and put a really nice chunk of money into your pocket or your bank account for to set up the foundation for your next success. That's why building a seven figure business is such an important threshold. And that's how we've seen so many people cross it. My name is Ryan Daniel Morant and I help people build seven figure businesses. So if that's you and you're on that journey, subscribe to this channel and let me know what you thought in the comments.
