Gutbuster Man Chili Recipe

A short, informal YouTube cooking video (Capitalism.com, Jan 22, 2011) in which Ryan Daniel Moran demonstrates his vegetarian "Gut Buster Man Chili." He narrates a Friday-night solo cooking session, lists ingredients (two cans organic black beans, one can organic pinto beans, a large can of diced tomatoes), and describes liberal use of basil, rosemary, chili powder, garlic, onion, Frank's RedHot hot sauce, and optional cheese/garlic bread. The tone is casual, humorous, and conversational; music (David Archuleta) is mentioned as part of the ritual.

Hey everybody or hey everybody, Ryan here I'm home alone on a Friday night, which is what happens when you work from home and your girlfriend lives six hours away. So I'm making dinner by myself and I just kind of wanted to feel like there were people around. So let me give you a tour of my world famous Gut Buster man chili. It's not nearly as gross as it sounds. I make this all the time. I don't eat meat, and when I gave up meat, I really, as you can see, I don't eat meat. And when I gave up meat, I really, really missed a good chili. So I made up this vegetarian version of chili and I'm yet to find one that I like better. So humor me and act like you care and let's make some chili together. Alright, so let me give you a tour of what's inside my Gut Buster man chili. We got chili beans. I like them hot. So I get the medium sauce, two cans of organic black beans.
Can of organic pinto beans, and a huge can of diced tomatoes. I like a lot of tomatoes. And here's how we spice it. We put a little bit of basil, a whole bunch of rosemary, and a whole bunch of chili powder. Now, I don't always do this, but I'm gonna try and put some onion and garlic in this round. And of course, listening to David Archuleta on itunes is required while making Gut Buster man chili. That's what all the manliest Internet marketers listen to. Oh, you didn't get that memo? Oh, it's going around. It's all over the blogs. Oh, and then we add some Frank's Redhot. You can see this is like a total bachelor meal right here. And I might put some cheese on it and not eat vegan tonight. And I really want garlic bread, so that's kind of necessary. Alright, keep humoring me. I'll show you what this turns out to be. It's absolutely delectable. Alright, so I added a little bit of basil and we need a lot, a lot of chili powder. Alright? Like right when you think there's way too much chili powder, you add in like eight pounds more and then you'll probably almost enough. And I added a ton of rosemary as well.
Oh, this is my favorite David Archuleta song. You can woo me with this one. And I'm just going to add my.
Garlic and onion.
And I'm going to have a little masterpiece here. That was well done. You see how I did that? No, you didn't. Alright, so I'm going to show you this finished product here so I can get my onion off the cutting board.
Alright, so here's our finished product. Add some garlic bread. I usually serve it with asparagus but unfortunately I'm out. Actually been eating asparagus for breakfast. Kind of weird. I've been throwing it in smoothies but this lasts me like a week of bachelor meals and it is awesome. Throw some cheese on there, some Frank's, Red Hot. Start with garlic bread, asparagus if you got it. Awesome, awesome meal. Hey, thanks for spending your Friday or whatever you watch this video with me. I was bored lonely and you kept me company. So thank you very much. Hey, I guess I'll take this time to thank you if you came to this video, this blog post because I sent you an email. I just want to thank you for being a loyal subscriber. I appreciate you. Hope you don't mind stepping into my kitchen for personal stuff. Listen to David Archuleta now and then. So that's my recipe for the Gut Buster Man Chili. Hope you enjoyed it. If you're a bachelor like me, go ahead and put it to work. It's easy. It's awesome. I love it. Thanks for humoring me and watching this video. Take care of.
