The traditional retirement plan takes 30 years, but here's one that only takes 3. The traditional retirement plan: work hard, save your money, invest it, get a pension, and hopefully have enough to retire one day. Screw that. Doesn't work for most of us. If you wanna have the same result in 3 years, here's how you do it. Once you're at $100,000 a month in revenue, you've usually got a business that could be sold for $1 million or more. Seen it done hundreds of times. How much do you need to retire? $2 million at a minimum. So you can work for somebody else and you can save your money and compound that and hope for a pension after 30 years, or you can grind it out for 3 to 5 years and build a little asset that sells for a 7-figure amount of money. That's a totally reasonable target to shoot for. We see people do it in about 12 months. It's the alternate retirement plan that any entrepreneur can do. And even if you just have an okay payday, you'll pass almost everybody else who's trying to do it the long and slow way.
