I Had to FORCE Myself to Believe in Myself

An entrepreneur quit their job to build a business with no track record, using daily self-affirmations to fake confidence until early customers proved them right. The practice stuck until the company hit seven figures.
So when did it click for you that you were gonna put both feet in the water?
At first I was building the business and looking for a job, and then I got like into the final round interviews of some job, and I was like, if I get this job, like, I really don't want this job. Like, even if I get this, like, this sucks, is what I was thinking. Kind of at that point I made a decision then to like believe in myself, because that was the hardest part in the beginning. And I think for a lot of entrepreneurs is that it's really hard to believe in yourself when you have no track record of it. So I would tell myself every day, like, I believe in myself, and I basically forced myself to believe in myself. Once I saw traction going, then I actually truly felt and started to believe in myself.
There was a space there where you kind of had to have faith until you actually did believe in yourself.
Yeah.
How did you develop that? You went through it. Now you got a million-dollar-plus business.
Well, at first it's, it's literally just like telling myself every day, like almost like an affirmation, like I believe in myself and, and just doing the things every day that I learned. I mean, most of the things I learned of building my business was in the 1%. It was really nice having the community there and people just like supporting you at that time. Having that outside validation from the 1% community really, really helped. Cuz if there are certain things that people don't even know that they said to me, like little things, or like, wow, that was such a good video, or great job with this email that at that time, like, I really needed to hear that because I was really, really doubting myself. And so hearing that from like a community, having other people believe in me too, helped me in the beginning also believe in myself, even though I was seeing like nothing going in the beginning. Especially at certain points, it's funny to think that these people have no idea, like, this one little thing that they might have said to me, I still remember. And I'm like, wow, I might have quit then if I didn't have a community.
