All right, I want you to imagine a scenario with me. It's late in the year. You're experiencing that post Christmas buzz where you're a little bit relaxed at home and you've been able to recharge a little bit and you're sitting down watching some boring TV movie that's been on a thousand times by now and all of a sudden a lightning bolt shoots you in the brain and says, hey, it's time to start making New Year's goals. And you feeling all of this new momentum, feel inspired, Whip out your journal and turn to a new page and decide exactly what you're going to T 2022. Does this sound familiar? I'm sure that one of those goals for a lot of you who are watching is to have your first million dollar business, to grow your business, to make more money and to cross seven figures. Well, that's what we talk about here on the channel. I mean, I pretty much told you all that you need to know in order to have a million dollar business. So why won't you do it in 2022? What are the things that prevent entrepreneurs from accomplishing that specific goal? Now, unfortunately, I'm not the guy that you should come to to figure out why you can' I'm also not the guy that you should come to to decide how you're going to meet the woman of your dreams. But if your goal is to build a seven figure business in the next 12 months, I'm kind of your guy. So in this video, we're going to go through the four things that prevent entrepreneurs from hitting that goal and we're going to solve them. So at the end of the next year, when you open up your journal, that's the one goal you've actually got done.
The first thing that prevents people from hitting that seven figure goal is distraction. Distraction in the early stages of your business prevents you from building the bridge to the million. Here's what I mean. You may have heard the analogy of the half built bridge. What a lot of people will do is they'll start start on some new project and they'll build a half built bridge and then they'll say, ha, we're not getting anywhere. So they go back to the starting line and they build another half built bridge. Now what you can do is build the bridge all the way to the other side and then you can go back and build more bridges. But most entrepreneurs never go through that grind period that they have to get through in order to have a million dollar business. And we call it the grind. Because for the time first, first six months, it feels like nothing's happening. It feels like there's no momentum. It's just decisions that bring you forward. But I promise you, if you make the decisions that are required, you'll get to the million faster. Distractions prevent people from making those decisions. And distractions are, hey, this NFT is really hot and Bitcoin's on a tear and SaaS business sounds good. And I just saw this YouTube ad promising this other new business idea and oh no, the stock market's gone down and I wanna get a raise. It's all of these little things that prevent you from making those decisions. The truth is there's only a few decisions that need to be made. But entrepreneurs resist making them because they have all these other ideas, they have all these other opportunities, they have all these other things they wanna pursue, and they're trying to do all of them at the same time. You can have everything that you want in life. You might even be able to start all the businesses that you want. You just can't do them all at the same time. So your goal in 2022 is not focus, but simplicity. How simple can you make the process of getting to the first million? I keep it real simple. Four products, 25 sales a day at a $30 price point. And all we need to do is make the decisions that fill in that equation. Who's our person gonna be? What are the four products? How do we get them to 25 sales a day and how do we maintain a $30 price point or more? When you boil it down to that simplicity, it becomes a very clear model. So your goal this year is simply. Ha ha, you see what I did there? I didn't mean to do that. That was, that was a slip. Simplicity. It's simply simplicity. I have many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
Reason number two, why you will not cross seven figures this year is isolation. Your chances of success go up dramatically when you are plugged into community or even one business partner. If you're operating in isolation, every little roadblock feels bigger, it feels heavier. We are not meant to operate alone. And in fact, when we're hunting or building alone, our brain is constantly saying, not safe, not safe, we're alone, we're going to run out of money. If you're operating in isolation, you know exactly what I'm talking about. That voice in the back of your brain of this isn't gonna work and I'm gonna run out of money and this is gonna Fail. That is so much louder when you don't have people to rely on. So are you plugged into a community of entrepreneurs that's done this before? Do you have a partner or partners that you are ride or die with? Do you have a board of mentors or advisors that you can call upon for for advice? And if the answer to that is no, it might be a good idea to join our community where you can get plugged into investors, advisors, partners and all the resources that you will need to be able to build your seven figure business. Regardless of how you get it done. Make a list of who has your back as you are going on this journey. Because if it's a short list or has no one on it, you're gonna fail this year. Don't let that happen. Think about who is on your team, whether that is officially or just rooting for you on your journey to build a seven figure business.
The third reason why you won't hit seven figures this year is because you're selling a product, not building a brand. I will smash you in the face with, with this lesson until you get it. I know you hear me say it over and over and over again and I'm gonna say it until I am 90,000 years old. Until you get it. If you build a product, you do not have the foundation of the business that you need in order to have a seven figure business. When you build a brand, you are focusing on a person. You are building for that person and you know exactly what four products that person is going to buy on their journey. Products come and go, things change in the marketplace. But when you're building a brand, you have built trust with a group of people. You're in total service to a person that you're going to help achieve their goals and you're creating the products that help them overcome the obstacles that that they'll run on their journey. So you've got a much longer shelf life, you can have higher profit margins and people will come back and buy multiple products. Hard to do that when you've got just one product. So build a brand, don't sell products.
Yeah.
And the final reason why you won't hit your goal of a seven figure business this year is because you're doing it for the money. I hate this advice. I hate that this is true. But if you're doing it for the money, the money will elude you. It's like dating. If you really, really, really want the person to go out with you, they're like you're clingy And I need some space. And you're like, why does everyone reject me? All I want to do is love them. Money is exactly the same way. When you are obsessed with getting the money, you tend to scare it, you tend to push it away, you tend to overanalyze it. But if you are in total service to the customer, if you're building products that people really love, if you are doing a process that is bringing you energy, money tends to show up, to empower that good work, to take foothold in the world. If you're focused completely on the outcome, you will be focused on how the outcome isn't there yet. And you will get frustrated, you'll burn out and you'll start another half built bridge. But when you're focused on doing excellent work, money will show up. The reason why so many people have been successful when they hear my million dollar formula, four products, 25 sales a day, $30 is because that gives them permission to put all of their attention on the pieces of that equation. You know that when you do the work, it equals a million dollars. So now your job is to show up fully, to decide who it's for, what those products are going to be and how we get them to 25 sales a day. It frees you up to be in service because you know the numbers are going to take care of themselves. It's just four products and 25 sales a day. That's it. But if you prioritize. Gotta get the million, gotta get the million, gotta get the million, you will start taking shortcuts that ignore your service to customers and start going for the results. That's your own insecurity. That's your own junk. That doesn't mean the model doesn't work. It doesn't mean that this business isn't really profitable. It doesn't mean that lots of people aren't successful with it. It means that you have an insecurity about what that million dollars is going to mean to you. And so you're trying to skip the best part of the process, which is that early phase of like everything's moving and it's fast and there's, and there's like a sale and you don't even know who bought it. Like that's the best. And people are skipping that because they're going for the end result which they think they need in order to justify themselves. As an entrepreneur. No, your focus goes to what do I do today to create value in my brand? And the million dollars is the natural inevitable outcome of doing that. Well, it's just math. If you want some help, we're doing something special inside the 1% in 2022. In January, we were hosting a five day challenge and it's five days to seven figures. This is going to be a five day sprint where we get absolutely crystal clear on your plan to build your million dollar business and you'll be part of a community that is actually doing this stuff. So inside the 1%, we're gonna spend five days getting absolutely clear on your process, on the steps you need to take and the decisions you need to make in order to have your million dollar business. And you'll leave with a plan. It's not just a plan in your head and it's not just a course where you learn something. You'll leave with the plan. It's a plan that you can show a business partner or an investor or to the other people in the group who are going to hold you accountable. It's the plan that you can bring to the coaching calls inside of the 1% and get feedback on. That's what you're going to leave with. And that's going to give you the clarity to be able to implement the model in 2022.
