Money Manifestation: The 4 Beliefs That Stop You From Having A $1,000,000 Business

This YouTube video (Ryan Daniel Moran, Dec 13, 2021) argues that mindset — not tactics — determines whether entrepreneurs become millionaires. Moran identifies four limiting beliefs: (1) money equals freedom; (2) fear of missing out / only one opportunity; (3) money will change my life; (4) money equals personal worth. He explains why each belief blocks wealth (creates fear, clutching, misaligned focus), uses anecdotes/metaphors (baseball, dating money), and prescribes reframes and actions: prioritize freedom via reduced expenses, wait for opportunities that match your skills, improve your internal life before pursuing money, and double down on unique talents to serve the market. I really wish that what I'm about to tell you was not true.
Because for most of my career as an entrepreneur, I studied really successful people to try to figure out how they made their money. In fact, when I was first starting my career, I thought if I just knew how people made their money then I would follow that step by step plan and I'd become successful too. I was so obsessed with the how that I became really good at telling you exactly how this person made their money and this person made their money. It also made me a really good teacher of how to make a lot of money. But what I discovered later in my career is that you can give two people the exact same plan. One of them will build a million dollar business out of it, the other will call me a scam artist. The difference between those two people is what's between here, it's mindset. And that's the piece that I wish wasn't true. I wish that there was more of a step by step formula for making a bunch of money. And in my mind there's lots of those in my world that you build a business and the way you hit seven figures is having four products that sell 25 sales a day at a $30 price point. That's a million dollar business. And then you invest the profits. How do you invest the profits? You put them into long term places that set you free, free mentally for you to go create the next step forward in your business. That's things that will cash flow, things that will grow, things that will generate wealth over the long term. Why don't people do that? Because of their mindset. So in this video I want to go through four beliefs that prevent you and everyone you know from becoming millionaires. The first belief that keeps people from being millionaires is that money equals freedom. Money does not equal freedom. And the belief that, that it does equal freedom prevents people from becoming millionaires. If you believe that money equals freedom, then you also believe that the lack of money means no freedom. And that's the position that most people are operating with most of the time. So they're subconsciously afraid that they're going to lose money. When you are subconsciously afraid that you're going to lose money, guess what happens? You don't make more money. You don't. You end up clutching everything that you have. So you're afraid to start that business, you're afraid to launch that product, you're afraid to start this new thing because you could lose money in any of those possibilities. You are always afraid of Something bad happening. Because if you lose money, then you will lose freedom. You have to be able to disconnect those two things in your mind. If you can recognize that freedom is independent of money. As long as you are willing to change your lifestyle and make changes that reflect the freedom that you have, then you'll always have freedom. The truth is that you can have freedom anytime you want. You can reduce expenses, you can move, you can sell your house, you can trade in your car. These are just things that people don't want to do because it creates an illusion, it creates a projection of freedom. But what they're really wanting is for more money to undo the stress in their mind that is currently there because of previous decisions. Money can relieve the stress that's in your life because of previously made decisions, but it will not give you freedom because as soon as you expand a little bit, you will fill that in with more stressful decisions. You have to make freedom the priority first. That means freedom of schedule, freedom of time, financial freedom in the form of reduced expenses in order for you to have the peace of mind, for you to go have your seven, eight or nine figure thing, it starts there. It doesn't come from a stressed place. Money does not equal freedom. Money amplifies freedom when you already have it. But you know what else is true? Money will amplify your stress if you're starting from that place. The second belief that prevents people from becoming millionaires is that there's only one opportunity. Fomo. Fear of missing out on the current opportunity. Right now we can see this happening in crypto. You see the bull market exploding and people getting rich, sometimes overnight because they bought the right altcoin. That happens. There's tons of opportunity there. But when you are a firm afraid of missing the opportunity, you're actually blind to the opportunity that's happening. When you are afraid of missing an opportunity, that often means that the opportunity has already passed or the big portion of the growth has already happened. At the very least, when you're experiencing fomo, it means that your perception is of lack. It's of not having enough. It's of. It's that I gotta do this thing because this is the one and only one. And if I don't do this one, then there will never be another opportunity. The truth is that there are always opportunities, always, always, always coming right around the corner. The next one's coming. The one that comes after crypto will be even bigger. The ones that come as the result of crypto will be even bigger. The ones that Come as a result of the e commerce boom will be bigger than the e commerce boom boom. It's not that you have to be afraid of missing opportunity. It's that you need to be afraid of putting your focus on opportunities that don't match your skill set. In baseball, we call this waiting for your pitch. I had a coach in playing little league who every time somebody swung and miss at a pitch, he would say, don't worry, kid, it only takes one. It only takes one. And you get three misses. Well, in life, you get an infinite number of misses. And there's always pitches being thrown, always in all sectors, and it's only getting more and more. There's no need to be afraid of missing opportunities. You need to be in the right mental space to see the opportunities that connect with who you are and what you want to bring to this world. When you can look at opportunities from a place of ease rather than a place of fear, then you're in the position to swing the bat and hit a home run. The third belief that prevents people from becoming millionaires is that money will change my life. Even a million dollars. The belief that a million dollars will change my life is a stressed tense position in which you are thinking about the things that you want relief from rather than things that you want to create and bring to this world. Money does not change your life. Money will amplify your life as it currently is. So the focus has to go to optimizing my life now, improving my life right now. If you are stressed about money, what can you do in terms of your expenditures in order to bring relief now, to bring ease now, to bring peace of mind? Now, most people think that if they just hit one big home run, then they can undo all of this past stress. But money is like alcohol. If you give alcohol to an angry person, they don't become a loving cuddle bug. They get even angrier and louder. If you give alcohol to a kind, generous person, they start giving away money in houses and cars. Money is exactly the same way. If you give money to a stressed person, they become more stressed, even about money. I know this from experience, and unfortunately, I'm not sure that somebody can learn this in any other way. But when I had the most money ever in my life show up, literally overnight, I became stressed that I would lose it. And you know what happened when I was stressed about losing it? I started investing in things that made that story true, that made the money go away. If you're afraid of losing money, it will run away from you. Someone I follow named Kyle Cease talked about money like you were on a date with money. If you were on a date with money and you were talking about it in the way you think about it, would it want to go out with you again? If you were saying things like, there's never enough of you, why do you never come around? Why are you never there when I need you? Would money want to go on a second date with you? Or if money was on a date with you and you were like, I just love having you around. You don't even need to do anything for me. I just love having you around. I want you around even more. Like, you're so much fun to be around. I like to play with you. Would this person want to go on a second date with you? Most people have a mindset around money, more like the first date than the second one, where they're afraid of it going away and they're mad at it and they're angry about it. They're not really angry about money. They're angry about the things in their life that they think money will fix. But money will not fix those things. In fact, even if money does fix those things, you will replace them with something else. I know this because I hang out with a lot of millionaires who have a lot of problems, and they think that making more money will help them undo those problems, but it just gives them more fuel to make those problems even bigger. If you're insecure, money will make you even more insecure. You'll just be an insecure idiot with a Lamborghini who's insecure about losing it and everybody judging him. I. I know this because I know these people. And I know this because I know that when I thought that money will change my life, that a million dollars is a lot of money and will change my life, I went and pursued the million dollars from that same place of lack. And when I got the million dollars, it made the lack even bigger, which makes the money run away. You have to be good internally first. You have to have a life that you actually like first. You have to build businesses that you like first. Then money shows up to amplify all of that. That's a free life. And the fourth mindset that prevents people from becoming millionaires is that money is a reflection of my value. Now, money is a reflection of value in the marketplace. It's a reflection of what people value, your products and services. But a lot of entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial minded people think that money is a reflection, reflection of their own personal value. And that's not the case. Now, we can talk about this intellectually, of course, but it's easier to think about how you react when you see people who are making more money than you. Do you edify them? Do you put them on a pedestal? Do you try to network your way in with them in order to get some of what they've got for them to teach you what they know? Oftentimes that is a belief that they're more valuable than you because. Because they have more money. Listen, if they could have gotten lucky, they could have been in the right industry at the right time. They may not even be that good. There are plenty of rich people who got rich because of who they knew or because of good timing. And that's not to take away from what they've accomplished in the slightest. It just means that it has no reflection about who you are and what you can accomplish. A good example of this is how many entrepreneurs put people like Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk on a pedestal because of how much money they have. And so they try to reverse engineer being that person instead of just doubling down on their greatest gifts. Every time I see an entrepreneur who is like, I want to be the next so and so, ooh, I get a little bit concerned for them. That's preventing them from having the success that they could really enjoy if they recognize where their unique talents and gifts were. And they went all in on those. Elon Musk became Elon Musk because Elon Musk was committed to being Elon Musk. Jeff Bezos became Jeff Bezos because he was committed to being himself and to carrying out the business that he wanted to create. If Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk had modeled what other people were doing, then Elon would have started another gas powered car company and Jeff Bezos would have opened up physical bookstores as his first business. But because they doubled down on what they wanted to bring to this world, that's how they were able to get rich. The same thing has to happen for you in order to create the results that you want. And you'll know the difference based on how you feel. If you are genuinely excited about something and you feel like this is an obvious thing for you versus you're excited about something because you think it's going to mean something about who you are and you feel stressed about losing it, that's when you need to clarify and come back to center. The interesting thing is that all of these pieces play together into one common story. And it's when you're looking to the outside world to fix how you feel inside, you are destined for failure. The idea that your freedom exists outside of yourself in the form of money or validation, prevents you from doing the things that success requires. And when you think that the external opportunities are going to go away, leaving you out in the cold, rather than you being the opportunity that shows up to the world, then money will run away from you. And if you believe that money will fix your life or change your life because you're chaotic inside, money will run away from you. And only when you do that work and you're clear from that place and you're able to see that your value is not connected to the amount of money that you make, then you're able to show up to serve. And you're able to show up to serve in a way that is very, very profitable. You will make the most money when you don't have a need for it. You will make the most money when you're not attached to it. You will make the most money when you're confident in yourself, despite how much money you have. Then money can show up and amplify your life. A life that is already free, already abundant, already confident, and has no need for more money. It becomes a choice. And when making more money is a choice, you can have all of it that you want. That is my wish for you, my friends. When you're in that place, then you can create businesses that are seven and eight figure businesses.
