Should I Start The World's Next Great Healthy Food Brand? | Taste Testing Vlog

A YouTube taste-testing vlog (hosted by Ryan Daniel Moran with Alex and others) documenting sampling and feedback on prototype healthy dessert/protein bars (keto, paleo, vegan variants). Participants discuss flavor, texture (chewiness, honey note), ingredient effects (collagen vs. egg whites), and preliminary go-to-market thoughts (audience-led distribution, Amazon, product/positioning first).

And that's how Esther died. Good job.
Then that's how Esther got taken away by Child protective services.
Okay, good.
Are you being dramatic? I'm gonna get.
Gonna get you.
You come back here.
You go say hi. You go say hi to people. Whoa.
You come back here.
Hi.
You go say hello.
Say hi. You say hi. Say hi. Say hi.
You say hi right now. You say hi.
Hi.
All right, so what we're today is we are taste testing a possible prototype for maybe my next. My next company. So I'm kind of looking for the next company. I'm out of breath. I was just chasing a two year old run where I'm kind of looking for my next company to really sink my teeth into. That's that I'm really passionate about. And the thing that I like, love the most is like health and fitness and food. So we're kicking around this idea of maybe a healthy desserts company or like, we kind of call it like an impossible protein sort of line. So today we're taste testing the first prototype. We've gone through a couple iterations of it, and so we're just seeing the latest update of the newest formulation. So that's what we're up to. How would you market this bar to the public? I mean, we'd start on, we'd put it on Amazon, but really, you go to audiences. I mean, with any new product, that fastest way to get distribution is through audiences. So we'd use my audience, we'd use friends audiences, we'd go on podcasts. We'd do.
Step one, define your person, define your audience. Step two, go get in front of them and put a great product in front of them. You take your bait, put it where the fish are, and in this case, the bait is your product. Find out where the fish are, put it in front of them. That's how you start any company. So that's how we'll market it. Hey, you. You're fine.
How are.
How are you? Good.
What up?
Hey, guys.
How are y'?
All?
Good to see ya. Hi, Missy. You have grown.
Can you say hi?
Maybe. What do you think of this one, Alex?
I like it. The immediate taste is good. It doesn't seem to have like a super lasting taste, but I really like the immediate taste.
It's a little chewy.
But the chewiness isn't, like overwhelming. It doesn't stick too bad.
So.
I was wondering what that was.
But I like the flavor. It's very buttery.
Last.
Last time y' all liked, like, the chewiness and stuff. To it. But then the guy. I can't remember his name.
Max, who was here.
Yeah.
He didn't.
Didn't care for it, but I don't know if it was more chewy last time.
It was before. Yeah. Was it? It was. Yeah.
See, that's the part that since we. The meetings were so far apart.
I get it. That's on us.
Wonder as well. Like, how much.
Does it.
Does the chewiness also depend on, like, little things through the production process?
It could depend on, you know, how long it sits in the fridge. You know, more moisture is going to escape and stuff. So I'm thinking in.
Chewy, delicious. I actually don't like this one at all. All I taste is honey. All I taste is honey.
I have a sweet taste.
That's all I can taste.
Does it have much honey?
Three quarters of a teaspoon, maybe. I got a strong piece. All I taste is honey.
I can taste the honey. Now that you pointed out.
I'm try again.
It's definitely stickier than that one. I agree with you. Now that I've taken the second bite, it sticks a little bit.
I'm going to try it. I'm going to try again.
I was about to say I taste the almond butter in this one way more.
This is one of those instances where.
Like, we don't necessarily agree every other time.
I think we've all agreed.
I agree. Yeah. Actually. Yeah.
All I taste is honey.
I still really like the keto one more. I feel like it gives a bigger chocolate flavor. It's not washed. The chocolate isn't washed out. I feel like the chocolate kind of melds with other flavors here.
I think keto is great.
And I don't think the chewiness is that bad. Right. Like, it's not. It's not, like, chewy and hard. You can't bite through it.
I think they're both really close.
Yeah.
As far as texture goes.
So do you want, like, no honey?
That was going to be my recommendation. I would almost consider keto complete, like. Like vegan. We were all really happy with keto. I feel the same way about the Paleo. I'm like, if you got rid of that honey taste. I mean, I don't dislike honey. Yeah. But I didn't expect it to taste like honey. And to me, it just. I wonder cut that way down because.
The collagen doesn't take a flavor out, whereas the egg whites could take flavor, could hold flavor a little more.
See money. You want to get in on this. Do you want to try one yeah.
The honey thing also.
Would you. Would you eat this one right here?
So it's a different brand of raw.
Which one is this?
Keto chocolate bar.
Yeah, that could be the chocolate.
I just want you to tell me if you would eat that.
That could be part of it. This is a raw honey. The kind we're using before was from Canada.
This raw honey. So good.
It's like a stronger.
I will say this one reminds me a little bit of like a marshmallowy type of something.
It's really fluffy, you know, like the chewiness. Yeah, I know the chewiness is hard, but it is really fluffy when you first bite into it.
Yeah, it's softer texture.
Have you all ever had the marshmallows covered in chocolate? Whatever. Like candy that is.
What do you got there, Esther?
What's that, Blinkies?
Blankies.
Great.
I like it.
I think vegan's done and keto's done. That's great.
How long is it gonna take to get this on the shelf?
Oh, I have no idea. I mean.
We have. So we're in concept right now. We have some other companies that need to get blissfully profitable before we put attention on this one. But.
The first thing is we need to really dial in the product. We need to really dial in the hook of the angle and the person that is behind it. Because otherwise we could sit here and formulate a bunch of different things and it wouldn't matter until you've got the person dialed in and the positioning really dialed in. So that allows you to dial in the product and then you worry about the marketing and going to shelf. So we're in no hurry right now. We're playing. Awesome.
Tastes good to me.
Good. I'm glad you liked it.
