Is that a poster of you in the background?
Tiny Ryan, right? That's poster Ryan, yeah. Yeah, Just watch. Grant Cardone will have a, have a tiny grant pretty soon.
So I'll see money's floating around in the background. Did you take a good look at the questions?
You know, I didn't. I saw that I was going to receive them, but I did not see them. But I think we're gonna be just fine. Tre.
If you're getting excited about an idea, it's a good idea. Me, I think every idea is great. Even the positioning in the marketplace is clear. And I think you're right at having that consistent theme that is basically the physical product side of the business. I found out I was going to be a dad. And.
So what happened here? So I'm not married, I've never been married and I grew up super, super Christian. And so finding out that you're going to be a dad when you're not married was big, big news in my family.
And it wasn't necessarily good news. And what this did for me is it completely shifted all the priorities of my life because up until that point my life had been operated in about six month chunks and they were all about me and they were all about what I wanted to do, where I was going to live, what business I was going to run. And then when I found out I was going to be a dad, I all of a sudden my time horizon shifted from today to 18 years from now. And all of a sudden I had to say whatever I think is distracting for the next 18 years I've got to cut out because apparently I'm going to be here for a while because I hadn't lived in Austin that long. Apparently I'm going to live in Austin indefinitely. And whatever business is working right now, I'm gonna go all in on that thing. And what's interesting, Trey, is this was right after the last reset that I had where I was like getting my life back on track. And I just started a company that I was excited about as a result of being in the space where I was ready for it, found out I was gonna be a dad and I was like, I guess I'm going all in on this thing. And I went all in on that. And that was the first, first million dollar business I ever ran. And it became the business I would sell for eight figures four years later. And now I have a beautiful three year old daughter who is the apple of my eye. And it was that event that shifted me to long term thinking. So that I could be the type of entrepreneur person, father, friend and human being that I needed in order to become the person that I wanted to be.
Amazing. I don't know if we're twins. Maybe we're just living the same life.
Oh, you were. You were almost a pastor and then. And then found out you're gonna be a dad.
I didn't have that, but I had the whole, you know, had a kid. Not married. He's now. He'll be five in September. Birthday's also in October, so.
Yeah.
All kinds of good stuff.
Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I said at the top of the hour, I was afraid people were gonna think we're twins. And here we are.
That's all it is. Dude, this has been absolutely amazing. It's been a real treat. I love having you on here. We should get together. I'm not in Austin, but maybe when you come in St. Louis or, you know, a cool thing. Here's an idea. I'm just kind of proposing this. I proposed this to Jason Fladden two days ago, and I said, how cool would it be to have, like, a Commerce Kings reunion where we're like. I just invite everybody we've had on Commerce kings, like St. Louis or Texas or some, like, really cool event, and it's all hot shots. We all get to talk and, like, have fun.
If you want to have it at my lake house, I'll make my home available to you. And if you have it. If you have it in St. Louis, I'll come to you.
That goes back to the. Cultivate. I love it. Cultivate on relationships. We'll have the Commerce Kings at Ryan's house and, like, count. Big thing happen.
Count me in. Count me in. I'll help you arrange it. Trey.
I'll count your. All right, we'll make that happen. I think we'll. We'll get to. I don't know what episode we're at. I think we're at, like, 20. We're at 20 something. So maybe like the top 50, right? Bringing the top 50. That way 10 people show up and it'll be a part one.
Sounds like a plan, Trey. I'm honored to be on the list at the party that will be at my house.
I got a couple more questions for you, but we'll let these guys go. Thanks, everybody. Appreciate you being on here. We'll see you guys next time. Ryan, tell him goodbye.
Thanks for having me, Trey. Good to meet y'. All.
