TikTok Shop just raised its fees from 2% to 8%. And what did you think was gonna happen? Of course they're gonna raise their fees. Amazon's fees are 30% plus. TikTok shop at 8% is still a frickin deal. People overvalue how necessary they are on platforms. The platform is the one with all the reach, the platform is the one with all of the users. And the platform has the rights to be able to charge whatever they're gonna charge. And this requires that creators think more like business owners. Which means that you've got to manage profit and loss, you've got to think about your strategy, you've got to think about your expenses, and you're not going to be able to survive on the whims of just putting up a video and selling things. You're going to have to think about margin. Welcome to entrepreneurship.
