Trump will not win in 2024... Here's why.

A short, conversational video (Capitalism.com, Jul 16, 2021) featuring Donald Trump, Ryan Daniel Moran, and a host in a freewheeling discussion. Key points: Moran argues Trump likely won't run/win again and prefers kingmaker status; they debate the UFC result and Trump-style commentary; Moran defends vaccines as market successes; lists current stock/crypto positions (JD.com, Alibaba, ARKK, bitcoin, CRISPR, Invitae, Square, Zoom); discusses Bill Gates buying farmland as either conspiracy or investment; expresses enthusiasm for commercial space travel and Mars; closes with praise for Shohei Ohtani as a two-way baseball player.

It's this week. In capitalism. It's this week. This is the greatest segment on social media today. We're going to talk about me.
We're going to talk all about me. All about me.
It's what you want to see. Let's go.
What did you think of the UFC this weekend?
Well, I was more interested in Trump's commentary after the fact.
Obviously, Conor McGregor won. Conor McGregor's a great fighter, and Peoria is a loser. Believe me, no one knows losers like me, folks. And Peoria sounds a lot like Pelosi, which. Is it a coincidence? I'm not sure if it is, but lots of people are saying that it's not. I'm not saying it, but lots of people are saying it. And I think you'll find when the real facts come out, that Conor McGregor, a great fighter, was screwed by the UFC. The UFC should be ashamed, not Dana White. Dana White's a fine person. It's a great person. But the UFC should be ashamed of themselves. It's fake news. It's fake news, folks, believe me. No one knows fake news like me, folks.
Do you think he's gonna run again?
I hope Trump does not run again, and I don't think he will, because he can't win. He can't win. Very rarely does the country go backwards to a previous president or even a previous ideology. And what tends to happen is parties, they reorganize and they have leaders start to ascend. We're already seeing that in the Republican Party, so. So I don't think Trump will win again. I think he likes his position as kingmaker instead of the person who has to defend a legacy that he probably can't do because he won't win again.
What do you think about the vaccine?
You know, I'm surprised that the vaccine is still controversial because it hasn't been mandated. I would understand pushback against the vaccine if the government was mandating it, but we haven't, and there's been very little talk about that. So vaccines are one of the great accomplishments of capitalism. Polio, measles, hpv. These are one of the great developments and advancements we make from the marketplace. I mean, look at what Australia did. Australia tried to make a government vaccine, and it failed horribly. But here in the States, we had three different companies create effective vaccines, and they're voluntary. They're not being forced on anyone, and they've been very effective. And that's why we're getting back to our lives. So I'm really surprised that people have pushed back against it, except for the fact that they think that there's things being swept under the rug, which may indeed be the case. Who knows? But this pushback against the overall introduction of a vaccine that was done in the private marketplace and has not been mandated. I don't understand why there's still pushback against this.
What stocks are you buying right now?
Ooh, I'm really hot on JD.com right now. Undervalued, strong profits. They're one of the biggest holdings in my portfolio right now. I'm also eyeing Alibaba two China stocks, two companies from China.
I think Ryan Moran might be compromised. I think we need to look into it. We're looking into it very heavily right now. Lots of people are saying he's compromised by China.
And CRISPR is on sale right now. I think anyway, they had a nice pullback. I might buy some CRISPR this week. I still like invitae. I'm watching square for them to hit 220 and then I'll buy some. Zoom could be interesting shortly. Cause they've had a little bit of a pullback. And one of my biggest holdings is the Ark Innovation Fund. They trade under arkk, which is an index fund for. For growth technology companies. So that's what I'm investing in right now. Also bitcoin, I think it's gonna hit 20 to 25,000. That would be the time, I think, to enter anything under 30, under 30,000, which I think will drop below 30,000. That's the time, I think, to start dollar cost averaging into bitcoin.
What do you think about this? Bill Gates buying up all the farmland?
Why is Bill Gates buying up farmland? Well, there's two possibilities. One possibility is that he is trying to control the food supply, that buying up farmland all across the world so he can monopolize the food chain and prevent us from getting food so that we can all get our fauci ouchie. I'm done with the Trump impressions, I promise for now. That's one explanation of why Bill Gates is buying up a lot of farmland. It's possible. Another explanation about why he's buying up a lot of farmland is it's a really good investment that we are seeing an exit from cities, that people are going to have demand for ranches, for more land, that suburbia is going to grow and therefore land, especially farmland, is going to go way up in value.
What do you think about it?
This is awesome. So I. I'm very interested to see how space travel plays out over the next several decades. Because.
Like a guy. We're going to Mars, guys. We're going. It's going to happen. We're going to Mars. The weirdest thing that I believe is that aliens are just future humans. So if you can go to Mars and therefore change the atmosphere, do whatever you need to do to live there, makes sense. You could go to other planets too eventually, right? Hundreds of years from now, thousands of years from now. Unless my mom is right and we have a rapture before then when we start going to other galaxies. Kind of makes sense that like this is a big deal for us as a race that we're going to go to other planets, maybe other galaxies after a few thousand years. So I think this is a much bigger deal in our evolution as a species than people realize. So hats off to Richard Branson who started with a dream and an idea and is actually making this happen. I think space travel, like vacations to go see Earth from outer space could be a thing within like 20, 20, 25 years. So I think this is a much bigger deal than people realize. Love it. Final question.
What do you think of Shohei Otoli?
Oh my goodness. Dude.
This dude is unbelievable. To be a two way player, like the first impactful one since Babe Ruth. This is absolutely legendary. And I believe he's starting the All Star game now.
He is emphatic first.
Unbelievable. Like this is a really, really big game deal for baseball. Like hats off to this guy. What I want to say to people this week, stop trying so hard. I was meeting with some people that I was thinking about investing in. They said, well, we really want to work with some people who have things, you know, kind of figured out, know what to do. And I was like, man, I don't have anything figured out. And they laughed and I said, no, seriously. Remember when you were a kid and you thought the adults had everything figured out and now you're an adult and you realize you don't have anything figured out. Yeah, we're all like that, trying to figure things out. The only things that are figured out are the systems that we are constantly challenging and breaking. So don't try so hard. Don't try so hard to get it right. Don't try so hard to figure it out. Because once it's figured out, it becomes the thing that holds us back anyway. So many of us try so hard to get everything right. Buy the book and figure it out. Because we went to school and you had to do it one way to get an A and you were celebrated for that. And but the people who change the world are those who throw out the playbook and do things differently. So be easy on yourself because you'll probably make more money and impact more people. This is this Week in Capitalism. Thanks for watching. See you next week.
