Everyone good? See the screen, Hear me? Okay.
Yes. All right.
It's funny how you never give a second thought to doing whatever you want and enjoying the things you love until you can't.
I'd like to introduce you to Kristin. By all accounts, she's lived the American dream life. Tight knit family, great childhood, excelled in sports and school and is currently helping children as her role in a career in school psychologist.
All her life, Kristen knew she wanted.
To be a mom.
And thankfully that dream came true in 2011 and again in 2014 with two beautiful baby girls. She absolutely loves being a mother and works hard to maintain that her active lifestyle and adventure seeking. She just has two new sidekicks in tow now, is all. Little did she know, however, that things would take a turn for the worse. A couple months into her second pregnancy, her life changed. In an instant, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Like so many other things in her life, she put her mind to mastering this problem for the remainder of her pregnancy. Since it was temporary, the frequent doctor visits, the finger pricks for blood sugar checks, the counting, every single carbohydrate passed her lips to ensure that her baby would be healthy was all consuming. But she Managed, especially since it was temporary. Near the end of her pregnancy, though, her doctor came in and informed her that she did not have gestational diabetes. She was, in fact, a late onset type 1 diabetic. The diagnosis stopped Kirsten in her tracks. This was not temporary. This was for life. In true Kristen fashion, she was determined she could handle this, too. The insulin shots, the blood sugar checks, the meals that always equaled math problems seemed endless. And while extremely draining, she was gonna live the life that she chose on her terms and continue her adventures while being the best mom she could be. She made it work for quite a while, as long as she could, until the pain set in. At first, she attributed the pain to being on her feet most of the day, running around with the kids and standing most of the day, all while wearing heels. She stopped wearing heels, but it didn't stop. Then it set in earlier during the day and it got worse. It didn't matter what shoes she wore or if she rested. She stopped exercising after the kids went to bed because it hurt too much. Still, the pain didn't stop. It was unbelievable. Pain from her nerves. The pain would hit suddenly and not that dull, bearable pain that you can kind of deal with. It was icy driving needles that took her breath away. She'd try and shake it off to clear it, but the pain would still scream up and down her limbs, feeling like there was no end in sight. She was too tired and in too much pain to do the things she loved. She felt like she was failing, failing at her life, failing her children and failing her family. And you can be sure she wasn't even telling people the worst of it. This is, sadly, the story of far too many diabetics suffering from diabetic neuropathy. And I should also mention the person in the story. She's my wife.
Painful diabetic neuropathy is caused by chronically high blood sugars. And it's basically the sugar is toasting your nerves like the fire toasting outside of a marshmallow when you make s'. Mores. But think for a moment what your life would be like if you were stabbed with pain in your hands and feet throughout the day without warning, or felt like you were holding your hands over a fire for an extended period of time. That's the life of a diabetic with neuropathy. The nerve pain is debilitating and it holds you back from doing everything that you love in life. You'd give anything to feel like your old self again. It isn't just the pain that's scary for people. But the fact that neuropathy also leads to a higher rate of lower limb amputation in diabetics.
Diabetes is a major public health problem that is approaching epidemic proportions globally. According to the American Diabetes association, there are currently more than 122 million people in the US alone diagnosed as having diabetes her prediabetes. That's 37% of the US population and getting worse. The overall cost in America for this is estimated to be over $400 billion. Between direct and indirect costs, healthcare costs for diabetics average 2.3 times the cost of traditional healthcare. Neuropathy is the most common complication of diabetes, with the CDC estimating that 50% or more of people with diabetes will develop neuropathy. When that's the case, their additional costs increase fourfold. And that's roughly $38,000 in additional healthcare costs for someone each year with neuropathy. All these numbers boil down to more than 50 million people that need our help and translates into a total addressable market size for neuropathy between 3 1/2 and $5 billion. With many forecasts having that tipping over $7 billion by 2026. From a market opportunity perspective, capturing just 1% of that future pie translates into a 70/plus million dollar business.
Now, doctors say there's no cure for neuropathy because there is no drug or surgery to cure it. But they themselves don't have a good answer for the problem. As such, pain drugs are the go to for physicians, leading to Big Pharma being the most prominent player in the niche and gabapentinoids being in the top five of prescribed drugs for pain in the United States. The problem is these drugs don't do anything to help fix the problem. And they don't even work for the majority of the people for whom they are prescribed. The Journal of American Medical association published that Gabapentin was effective in only 14 to 17% of patients taking it. If they do work, the side effects are often so brutal that people would often rather deal with the pain. These snippets on the right here are just a few of the thousands of comments from the neuropathy community that would rather the pain than feeling like a zombie every day with suicidal thoughts from the drugs. It's not that your doctor is holding out on you for the treatment, although some could be. It's that the breakthroughs coming from places like Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, they can take 10 to 20 years to hit the mainstream medicine. Our community doesn't have that kind of time to wait. We've lived this unfortunate reality ourselves, which is why we devoted ourselves to finding a healthy, natural solution.
Today I'm proud to introduce to you Nervitaleyze Neuropathy Support. Created by neuropathy sufferers, Nervitalize has given my wife her life back and has also helped thousands of others in the process find relief from their diabetic nerve pain.
Our flagship product is our Advanced Nerve Relief formula is an all natural nutritional supplement supporting neuropathy relief. Best of all, doesn't have any of the big pharma side effects. The supplement market for neuropathy pain is extremely fragmented with many small players which provides ample opportunity for novitalize to get our share of the pie. We focus on a premium product that covers all the base ingredients but includes two key ingredients that nobody else in the market has in theirs Pea and Ashwagandha, which focus heavily on pain and stress relief and have over 1100 scientific studies and counting between the two of them. It's a premium formula which costs $7.25 to manufacture with gross margins around 81% after the cost of product and fulfillment and we sold 15,730 units in 2021. So we're confident in the market for our primary formula. 100% of our efforts so far have been in the direct to consumer space through our online store, but we do see other distribution channels to tap into the future ranging from traditional brick and mortar retail to holistic clinics and chiropractic offices.
Now we are fully aware that while we do have key ingredients to set us apart from current competitors, people can come into the space with similar ingredients and try to undercut us on price to gain market share. But people don't want just another pill. What they really want is to live long, healthy, disability free lives. And that's why our big idea is different from all the others. We're not just another pill. We are a complete platform. Our initial formulations for revitalized supplements have been life changing, yes, but that is just a piece of the puzzle and that is where pretty much everyone else stops. The change begins. Ability to deliver value beyond treating the illness and start to facilitate the wellness. This is done through our full platform approach focusing on education, wellness, community and coaching. People need more than just a supplement. They need to be guided by the hand to achieve the success they're looking for. The current medical system is so overburdened, people are lucky to get 10 minutes with their doctor. I know mine's halfway out the door before he's halfway in the door and then they just keep sending you away with a pocket full of prescriptions. We are here to fill that coaching community gap with continuous guides, online courses, and future live coaching options. The power of community to create health is far greater than any physician, clinic or hospital and we are here to provide that full service approach. Neither Big Pharma or any of the other supplement competitors are doing this kind of work. This is what will allow novitaleyes to stand out in the fragmented crowd of other competitors, giving us the ability to not only continue attracting new customers, but but retain them as well. In our broader community, we deal with neuropathy firsthand in our household every single day. In our members of that tight knit community we feel our customers pain. Literally. In Kristen's case, we regularly check in with our customers and the feedback from the community has been wonderful. Beverly is a great example and her story is nothing short of amazing. Her neuropathy was really bad. So bad that she was struggling to care for herself, never mind her husband who was in and out of the hospital 19 times with cancer treatments. All during while she was trying to figure out what was wrong with her, she had to rely on her family and friends to do everything for her. Her doctors weren't much help. They offered to send her to a specialist, but that specialist had a six month long waiting list and she had nowhere to turn, felt hopeless. She was on the cusp of sending her husband to a nursing home and feared that she wasn't far behind when she found Revitalizer's relief formula about four weeks in. She was back to taking care of her home, driving and being able to get around the yard again. She had her freedom back and most importantly could take care of her ailing husband. We actually just got another message from Heart Melt email from Beverly about a month ago thanking us so much again for giving her her life back. Sadly, her husband had since succumbed to his cancer and passed away, but our products were able to give her another year with him on her terms.
There are so many great stories we get from the community of novartilyze customers. We get comments on our social posts and There are nearly 150 reviews on our site for customers that are finding life changing impacts with our products.
Our path forward here in novartalyze is a bright one and it's just the beginning of us helping to serve the community who needs us. Our online course, Learning to Master your Pain Experience goes live at the end of this month, something no other competitor offers. In March we published our book on Amazon Life without tingling and pain on how you can better live your life with neuropathy to continue to serve our community while simultaneously building credit in the marketplace. Expansion into channels beyond our Shopify store is next. We go live with Amazon in March, launch our chiropractic wholesale outreach program in April, and expand into Google and YouTube PBC in June. By year end we will be at a two plus million dollar run rate. 2023 is a year of continued growth. We've taken early surveys from our customers and found that there is a gap in the availability of truly diabetic friendly snacks and protein bars in the market and we plan to we will expand the product lines into that space the middle of next year. By the end of 2023 we'll be at a more than 4 plus million dollar run rate with continued focus on building our brand to over $10 million quickly thereafter.
And we recognize that none of this could happen without the people we have in place. Kristen and I are the founders and full equity holders in the business. Kristen has a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Psychology and is a nationally Certified School Psychologist. Given her background in training, she's a key factor and contributor in understanding the medical studies and research papers for our formulation and also will be a key factor in all our training courses going forward. I myself am a strategic finance leader in the private equity space, having worked as the Vice President of Finance for a large private equity fund for the last 11 plus years with my primary focus being on implementing systems for growth and supporting acquisition activity. We've also surrounded ourselves with other incredibly talented people to help us serve the 50 million plus people who need us.
Dr. Nick Lucas is an advisor in our business. He was previously a professor in the Neuroscience discipline at the University of Sydney and is currently running a successful coaching and speaking business. He's the creator of our upcoming pain course and will be a critical factor in launching our live coaching courses in the near future. North Node Solutions is running our Facebook advertising, managing several large clients in the health and supplement space as part of their roster. Amazon Sales is launching with Sunken Stone, a premier Amazon agency with 11 plus years experience and over 3600 SKUs under management. Past successes of theirs including taking the wellness company Organifi from 40,000 per month on Amazon to over 40,000 a day. Manufacturing fulfillment are provided by Jetpack, an Ohio based company that keeps all the necessary certifications and registrations to ensure that our customers have the best possible supplements delivered to them as quickly as possible. Of course our customer service is handled by Infocus a Utah based company focused on providing telephone and email support to our customers, allowing us to scale customer service as we continue our growth. We are confident in our team and partners to take us to a $10 million plus valuation in the next three years.
Today we are presenting you the opportunity to help build the legacy and help the 50 plus million people who need and revitalize to succeed.
We are seeking a strategic investor who has the connections and network to assist us in rapidly scaling and expanding distribution and for this role we are offering 8% equity in return for $100,000. The capital will be used in three main areas. 50% of the funding will go to accelerating our marketing and branding, building out the assets and creative to continue differentiating ourselves in the market and building our community engagement and we've already identified a vendor partner that will help with this. 30% will be used for expansion of acquisition channels, continuing to optimize our current advertising on Facebook while accelerating our testing and scaling into new areas such as Amazon, Google and native advertising. The last 20% will be used to create additional content for customized training for our customers to build out our library. This allows us to do two things better serve our community overall with an additional training but also to build out a subscription based training area to add to our core offerings. We also have two advisor sheets open for those that can help advise in the areas such as copywriting and marketing and sales distribution to help with expansion into offline opportunities.
Right now as we are here talking today, people are getting diagnosed with diabetes and marching towards the unbearable pain that comes with diabetic neuropathy. These people and the 50 plus million others need us and can't be left behind. So if you love the idea of this legacy of saving limbs and lives and you want the Beverly's of the world to be free and you want to be known as the capitalists who build a legacy for the ages, then we are the right company to back today because we are living the realities of neuropathy each and every day and know this better than anyone else and we are doing this with or without a partnership.
When you feel the time is right, I encourage you to get in touch and we can talk over how we can make it happen. Thank you again for the time today and at this point I'd invite you to ask any questions that you'd like to discuss now.
Well done Adam.
Thank you. Stop sharing Stan or do I keep sharing?
Please go ahead and stop.
Ryan, what questions would you have for Adam about this business and why you.
Should invest first of all, before we kind of go into our analysis here, I'd like to know what's your price point and your profit margin on your current product.
Price point for a single bottle is 69.95. We do offer, if they buy right now, the packages are up to four bottles. They go down to 49 a bottle. If they buy on subscription, it's 51.75.
Okay, so I mean, so you did about 1.1 last year then of sales?
Yeah, we did about. We did. Last 12 months is 841k. Okay.
That was a lot.
There's discounts and stuff.
Okay. Okay, that makes sense. I'm glad, I'm glad you told me that. I also wanted to hear from you. I heard that you have snacks as a follow up product, but I missed in there what other products might exist in the total line. What is on that product Roadmap.
Got it. Right now we have a cream that we use that's a topical cream which we do mainly as an upsell. And then we have a maintenance product that we, we call it maintenance because it doesn't have the pain relief in there because some diabetics don't have as much pain. The other products on the roadmap are more kind of supplementary that will be rolling out more kind of a greens product. For nutritional, we have an no. 2 product because our market is 55 plus. Yep. So to have no. 2, so it's more supplements that fit the age group that we serve and then the roadmap beyond that is the snacks and the diabetic kind of the clean eating.
Got it. And how are people finding you right now?
Facebook ads only.
Yeah.
And they're buying on Shopify. No Amazon or influence marketing. No Amazon Shopify to your checkout or all Facebook ads to your Shopify checkout.
Correct? Yeah, we just, we actually just got on Shopify. We were on a custom setup prior to that, but all through our online store and got on Shopify in January.
Okay.
I have a ton of feedback, but I want to let the rest of the panel ask their questions first.
All right, since no one's jumping up, I'll go first.
So Ryan asked a lot of the questions, but first of all, I love the story. I love how you presented the story. Me, myself, I was crippled for years. Talking about your wife's struggles and everything else, it really hits how you have skin in the game in this one. So that was awesome. The big things that I put down was you kind of mentioned your profit margins, your units and your costs. But you never did how much revenue you did. As an investor, you're going to want to know revenue. So that was kind of like. But Ryan already covered all of my questions. But the big one I want to touch on, and Ryan touched on, which was, but he didn't go very deep on it, is you use Facebook ads for pretty much all customer acquisition. As an investor, in my point of view, knowing, like, with a marketing background and with all the new iOS updates and advertising costs skyrocketing on Facebook, what like, could you go a little deeper on what other avenues you're gonna use to market? Because when you have all your eggs in like Facebook ads basket as a, you know, as a business, and if that goes away and that's your only customer acquisition, that makes me a little bit scared.
100% agree with you. Which is why we have, we started a month and a half ago getting onto Amazon and we're building all the listings and those listings will go live as soon as Amazon has the intake for our products. So those products will get shipped out to Amazon next week and then it usually takes a couple weeks. So that's why I've been building out the Amazon channel and I've actually spoken to a partner, had discussions with him yesterday on taking things to Google to get there. Because I 100% agree with you that to be on one platform, to be have all one eggs in one basket, and that's part of what the money will be used for, is to accelerate those avenues outside of Facebook to a Shopify store. Awesome.
I want to ask a question to piggyback on what Jared just said. What have your sales been like since the iOS update? What's your trailing three instead of your trailing twelve?
Yeah. And to be 100% transparent, they've come down quite a bit. The trailing twelve was 8, 40. The trailing three. I have the trailing six. It's about, I was doing about a hundred thousand a month and now we're down to about 50 to 60.
Okay.
We've taken it down on purpose from an ad spend perspective because the roas was way down. So purpose that we've taken down ad spend while we try to determine where to go rather than just throw money at Facebook and have a terrible return on ad spend. So we've taken that down so we can, you know, it's the correlation is, you know, the more you throw at it, but without a good return on ad spend, it's not worth throwing there. We diverted some of that, a bit.
Of transition on that customer acquisition process.
Right now correct.
Okay, heard.
Hey Adam, appreciate the candor. I've got a couple of comments and then a few questions and I'll try to hit them in priority. First of all, great job. I thought the story was really compelling. I like the, the surprise at the end that you're her husband, which is well done. You've been well trained, good job. So I've seen a lot of pitches and what I would say is if you're doing about 840 grand in 21 and you're expect to do at least a bit on a $2 million run rate in 22, your valuation may be maybe pretty light. You're raising 100 grand on $1.2 million pre money. You may be able to increase that, that enterprise value and you might consider raising more over time. $100,000 probably isn't going to take you too far and I didn't notice any hires in that $100,000. So I'm curious what you're going to do there. And then the other related question is what is your role in the company? Are you still full time employed at your current place? Are you full time? That sometimes scares investors if they think it's a part time gig.
Yeah. So the higher, to answer the higher question, we were planning to work with vendors, not hire a full time employee just yet. So it makes it a little more nimble that way. I have operators to be more nimble with vendors to hire someone, maybe give them a profit share. So that way they understand there's some skin in the game for them too. For me, I do work full time still in my current position, which is why I've set this up to be very, I have a lot of infrastructure here. So there's the customer support, there's the, the teams deal with Facebook. So for me ultimately what I deal with on a day to day is really just keeping the operations running and understanding the finances and dealing with metrics and things like that. That way the Amazon team can do their thing, the Facebook and marketing team can do their thing in terms of the vendor relationships and then I have customer service and then so no full time employees. Everything's done through vendors at this point.
I think that works well as long as you're a strong manager and operator and able to manage those relationships because they can get very expensive and off kilter quick. But one other really high level question and then I'll turn it over to other judges and that is you haven't mentioned anything about the fda. I'm assuming you're not you don't have to be compliant with what they're doing. But talk a little bit about the medical aspect of this and how you're dealing with that.
Yeah. From the FDA perspective, it's more. When supplements, it's more about the.
Manufacturing side. Make sure they have the registrations involved and make sure that they get audited. Our manufacturers audited at least annually and provides all the registration certificates we need for what's in the supplement. On the marketing side, you just have to be really careful in terms of making claims. And.
We deal with. We've spoken to attorneys, as we've learned, you know, laid out the site in our disclaimers, making sure we're covered there. But in terms of the labels as well, the manufacturer has to go through compliance and make sure the labels are all good on that medical side. And then on the trainings and things like that, we don't give medical advice. On the courses we've built out, it's more about. I mean, it's not you're telling them how to get better with pain, but in terms of. And then on the customer support side, when anyone ever asks, is this going to work for me or can you take this? When they give you this laundry list of medications they're on, they say, can I take it with this? The direct answer is always, go see your doctor. We're not doctors, so we never tell anyone, yes, you can take it with such and such, or yes, you can do it. We always err on the side of caution, of sending people to their doctors.
Thank you, Adam. I want to echo something that Curt just shared, which is I think that if we change a couple things about the structure of your pitch, I agree with Curt that your valuation may be low. The way you presented it, though, you presented more of like, here's where we are. And based on that, I think your valuation's fair. So what needs to be tweaked in your approach is putting more emphasis on the growth potential based on the hard work that you've done into this point. So there are a couple of things that stood out to me in your pitch. From an investor standpoint, 15,000 customers, you've got reviews and feedback and people who come back and voluntarily tell you that your product is having impact in their lives, that's awesome. The fact that you're acquiring customers from cold traffic as your primary way of getting sales, that stands out to me. So I'm looking at that foundation that's being built, but the value is going to be what we stack on top of that. And you didn't put as much emphasis on that as you did on the foundation that was built. So if you were to go to market right now to sell your company, I think the valuation that you're looking at is fair. But when we're looking at a future pacing perspective, more of that vision piece, that's where I agree with Kurt that your valuation is a little bit light. Now, there's one thing that I think was missing in your pitch that I wanted to see that made this an absolute slam dunk. If I were to grade this pitch, I'd give you a 9 out of 10. I would say this is a top 5 opportunity that I would see that has come out of the incubator at this point, because I can see the vision of where you're going and how big this market size is. And you did an awesome job framing how big the market was. Side note, whenever it's like it's a known thing in the investor world, I'm surprised, based on your background, that this, this was outside of your awareness that the 1%, if we only get 1% of the big market, that's a big pitch faux pas. A lot of investors just go, oh, please, because you got to get the 1%. Adam, show me how you're going to get the 1%. So I would just remove that from your pitch. But here's the thing that was missing. The thing that was missing, you sort of danced around. It was the audience piece. So who's the influencer? What is the piece that is going to build the audience? You touched on it and sort of danced around it by saying, we're writing a book, which is an amazing way to build an audience. It's an amazing way to get new customers. I'm obviously a big fan of, of that model. That's a big deal. So you sort of touched on it there and you said you were to engage them with a lot of content, but I didn't hear from you a plan that I was like, yep, they've really thought through this and that is going to be how they build this audience in that customer base. Even if it had been as simple as my wife is starting a podcast, it launches on this date and we're flowing all of our follow up sequences to that. To be the leader in that space that would have at least checked the box for me. But I wanted to see a little bit of a more crystallized plan of how that audience was going to be built and engaged. Because you have such a foundational piece and I'm looking for how you can engage those raving fans in a way that they can refer other people to the brand. I thought you did a phenomenal job. I have very little that I would poke holes in. I think you have a very clear, easy way to that $2 million run rate and then Bey. But I would change those things in your pitch.
Thank you. Great feedback.
Appreciate it.
Well done.
I'm going to piggyback just real quickly on one last thing. So, Adam, the notes I had that I had listed down here, which most people have covered already, was just the audience size, how it was acquired and where. It's how. And then specifically, the only other piece I wanted to get was the reorder rate you have right now. Because as an investor in my mind, I always look for what is the efficacy? Anything in a pain management supplement phase, I want to know what is the actual efficacy? And so what I love is you did a really good job of going from the emotional to the facts to the emotional. The fact that they're really good, really well woven throughout the story. That kind of the closer for me would have been, I get to see 15 Facebook posts here that you showed of people saying this works. And then you also say, in addition to that, I have a 25% reorder rate, a 30% reorder rate, just to kind of show me and demonstrate to me numerically that there's an efficacy to the product.
Perfect. And to that question, Sam, I do have a 30% just to take over 30% reward rate.
I was assuming. I was assuming. That's what I was curious. So I appreciate that. Thank you, man.
Hey, I want to make sure that Stan and Jerry get a chance because I want to say one thing right quick if you guys have anything else to add.
Okay.
Well, so I love what Ryan just said. You sold a dream, you sold a vision, you sold why you're doing it. And then at the end, if you really come back and think about what you said at the end, we're just going to sell on Facebook. And that didn't sound nearly as compelling as you're solving a world problem and all these people in pain. And so what I would love to see is that sense of community, somebody that you're building to focus on with this money or the next round. Frankly, I'd love to see dedication from you and or your wife full time, not a part time gig. I think this has real legs and I think it's real opportunity. And then I'd like to see vision. I'd like to have you talk about that dream, talk about what you're building. And I'm in for 25 grand and I'm not a strategic investor necessarily, but I think there's a lot of things that you can do to make this a special brand. And you've got a good foundation.
Great.
Thank you very much.
Excellent.
Thank you so much.
Let's get into this really quick.
Can I say what.
Sorry I can't speak for my partner, but I think there's a chance that the Capitalism fund may match Kurt's pledge.
Let's go.
You can take for him.
Stan, real quick. I do want to say, Adam, I remember when you joined Cap Inc. And just where you were at an emotional state and the pressure that was there. And just to see the full transformation right now and the work you've done in the incubator And Stan, way to freaking go. Amazing. I want you to highlight when you share this that you've been doing this with a full time job and how this is going to allow you to leave that to focus on it, to grow it even more because you are an integral part of this thing doing what it's doing. And so I think just being able to show that you'll be putting more focus as they raise would be really cool. So I will stop talking, but great work.
Great.
I'm freaking impressed. Really good work.
Thank you. And third plug to you, Ryan. This is the best group or training program I've ever been in. And Stan knows I almost didn't join because I've been in others that just didn't work so well.
Well, what, what pushed you over the edge? Who twisted your arm?
I think it was what you, how you, what you offered in here. True business owners doing their thing, investors. It's. It's not just people who throw money and think they're going to be rich. It's people that were doing the work, being taught the right way and, you know, learning the process. It's been great.
I appreciate that. Very good work, Adam.
Thank you. Thank you, everyone.
Thank you so much. Adam, that was absolutely phenomenal. Thank you for focusing on your person. Everyone who's here watching in the Zoom room and anyone else, please just take note. Adam, serving a person, he's solving a problem and he's changing people's lives. Every time he tells the Beverly story, I cry. Those of you who have access to this pitch, go back and watch it and cry with me when he talks about Beverly and changing more people's lives. That is probably why Ryan mentioned That I cry so much. So that being said, it takes one.
To no one, Stan. Takes one to no one.
It's true.
It's true.
We'll try together next week when you're here. We will.
Probably will, actually. So that being said, I messaged Markin. Well, Adam was pitching. I'm sorry, Adam. I've heard your pitch a couple times. So I messaged Markin and we pronounce his name Markin Purgat. So I would like to welcome Markin Purgat. This is another amazing individual who is really focused in on a specific person. You'll feel a little crossover here at the beginning, but then you'll understand who he's serving. So, Markin, welcome to pitch week and you should have control to share your slides and do your thing.
Go get them, Markin.
Perfect.
Thanks, Dan. Just while I'm getting this set up, Ryan, I may have used the 1% of the market thing in my slide. So if you just want to plug your ears for that part, then we.
Have work to do, Stan. We got work to do.
But other than that. Let's jump right in.
Meet Terry. He's in his mid-50s and takes prescription meds for his health complications associated with type 1 diabetes. Like so many other men, Terry suffers from nerve damage. Nerve damage and circulation problems that commonly cause him to experience moderate to severe erectile dysfunction. He should probably take Viagra, right? Wrong. Metformin, his medication for type 1 diabetes, contains nitrates which are strictly prohibited from being taken together with drugs like Viagra. This is because they are both designed to lower blood pressure, so when taken together, the result can be fatal. According to PubMed, diabetic men showed a threefold probability of of having erectile dysfunction when compared to men without diabetes. And it gets even worse with age. If that's not bad enough, Terry's meds also cause a significant reduction in testosterone levels and sex drive, multiplying his symptoms of erectile dysfunction.
As catastrophic as it is for a man to be impotent, there's even more pain involved in his journey than simply not being able to keep it up. And emotional pain hurts way more. Lost confidence. The inner shame. Plummeting self worth. It's enough to make a man like Terry avoid sex entirely. And what does this mean for his spouse? She feels inadequate and unwanted and may even wonder if he's having an affair. A lack of communication compounds the emotional damage for everyone involved. And what about a young couple who have been trying unsuccessfully for pregnancy? After too many long months, they're frustrated, exhausted, and it makes sex feel like a chore rather than a sacred act of passion and desire. So what is a man to do at his absolute lowest point? Enter manhancer Men's reproductive health. We believe in a world where men reclaim and keep their health confidence and maintain their highest purpose in life. They enjoy intimacy for their partners, be it for fun, procreation, and at all ages and stages of their journey throughout manhood. We're on a mission to help 1 million men become their most vital and potent selves, making manhancer the brand men turn to for natural sexual enhancement and fertility. Let's take a look at the market trends fueling this massive growth opportunity.
This is where the world is headed in men's health and why manhancer is needed today, right now, to lead the pack. According to WebMD, almost all adult males have erectile dysfunctional once in a while. And as many as 30 million American men have it regularly. The global fertility supplements market generated $1.75 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach 3.65 billion by 2030. Growing at a compound annual growth rate of 7.5%. Consumers in the United States spent an estimated $9.6 billion on herbal dietary supplements in 2019, an 8.6% increase from 2018. This data clearly shows the shift towards natural alternatives for health needs. Manhancer gives these 30 million men an opportunity to try herbal supplements for their reproductive health conditions.
The general fertility rate in the US.
Was already at a record low before the COVID 19 pandemic began. In 2019, there were 58.3 births for every 1,000 women in the US down from 59.1 in 2018, making it the fifth consecutive year in which the fertility rate declined. We're here to help these men become potent sowers to spread their seeds for generations to come.
As we learned with Terry, aging men who want to enhance sexual performance without drugs and who suffer from diabetes or high blood pressure have essentially no other option. Studies suggest that by age 70, approximately 50% of men will have erectile dysfunction. To let this truly sink in, take a moment to look at all the number of men on this call. Literally half of us are dealing with this problem right now.
That is the size of the market and why right now is the time to get on this 10 out of 10 opportunity that awaits us.
Look, I am not a 55 year old diabetic with high blood pressure or struggling with fertility issues. My story is an entrepreneurial one. While studying at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition I discovered Ryan Moran's Freedom Fast Lane podcast and dreamed of building a physical products business ever since. Later I met Dr. Jalal, a formulation doctor who had a line of sexual health products for men. My research both in and out of nutrition school demonstrated the massive opportunity in the men's health niche. I've been testing Dr. Jalal's products and have noticed several findings in myself. The single biggest thing I noticed was waking up with an erection much more consistently than I used to. Not quite like when I was 18 years old, but certainly a solid way to wake up with a purpose. This may not seem like such a big deal, but what about for impotent men like Terry? I know you understand how Terry feels. All men do. Situational erectile dysfunction happens to all men and we all know the crippling emotional pain associated with it. If the absolute least I could do is help men like Terri wake up in an erection even just a bit more often, would it be worth it for them? These products truly make a difference and I'm on a mission to help aging men defeat impotence and live their highest quality of life. Guiding these men to live their true purpose funnels purpose into me and real meaning into this brand. I own two successful businesses that run on autopilot yielding the experience that will turn Manhancer into an eight figure exit. If you believe in nothing else, just know that above all things I'm a hard knocks entrepreneur driven by the hunger to build an abundant cash flowing machine. The ticket to take us there is helping millions of men on their individual journeys of sexual wellness, reproductive health and all things manhandsen. Now let's take a look at the products that will lift us off.
Manhancer uses only science backed double blinded placebo controlled research using only proven natural ingredients to solve the problems of impotence. Our flagship product Blow Aphrodisiac uses four potent medicinal ingredients blended to stimulate sexual desire, increase sperm load and quality, eliminate problems with maintaining an erection and is also an extremely rich of antioxidants for immunity. Also introduced for the initial launch is BLO's perfect partner Flo advanced testosterone for natural testosterone production and immunity using Cordyceps mushroom and Tongkat Ali herb ingredients. It's a zero harm alternative to testosterone replacement therapy. To be launched later is SO Sperm Cell Optimization for fertility, Grow Immunity protein and GLO Prostate care to prevent potentially dangerous prostate enlargement.
Here's how BLO aphrodisiac is different from other reproductive supplements. We formulated BLO into a powder versus capsules for two reasons. Reason 1 the formula was approved in 2015 for its four ingredients at their full individual dose, which is no longer allowed in Canadian regulation. It is so potent, in fact, that the efficacy of the same dosage would be the equivalent of taking 10 capsules daily, which is inconvenient and just too much BLO to swallow. Reason 2 BLO is to be mixed into smoothies, coffee, yogurt, pancakes or any other food or drinks where powders can be consumed. This perfectly incorporates the power of natural nutrition into our recipe recommendations. These potent formulas are a big win for our customers, our business and investors alike as we have an exclusive agreement in place for these formulas in all of Canada and us. Let's see how BLOW stacks up against the competition.
Men are sick and tired of the headaches, dizziness and upset stomach from medication companies like Viagra, Bluechew and UP Guys. There's currently no clear leader in the men's natural reproductive health niche. The time is now for Manhandster to claim its title as the clear choice that men trust on themselves, refer to their family and friends and the preferred choice for women who buy products for their men. BLO can be safely consumed with diabetic and high blood pressure medication containing nitrates. It uses natural ingredients that allow for no adverse side effects, the perfect reason to make the immediate switch from prescription drugs. Manhancer formulas are purchased without consulting a doctor and no prescription, making it the more convenient and more pleasant buying experience for the customer. Lastly, BLO is easily consumed with food on a regular basis, making men healthy, confident and ready for action at any moment. No need to time intimacy with your partner.
As we have only just recently received inventory. Our product is barely in the hands of beta testers. However, we have received a high level interest for our product from various sources including a live health center retail chain. Men's sexual health is the sector that has the most potential growth and has had the most growth in sales in the last two years, says manager Cynthia Watson. We have a firm agreement to announce our product launch to Vitamayer, a Canadian based online supplement store with a database of over 100,000 customers. The email blast and product stocking agreement is based on male sexual enhancement products being very high sellers. According to Tater Sibald, buyer and brand manager of Vitamart.
A post on the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Alumni Facebook group yielded 13 private messages.
13 private messages of interest in two days from nutritionists and fertility and sexual health space as well as women simply asking about the product for their husband and boyfriend.
We do have some testimonial stories paraphrased and translated from Arabic by formula consumers in Dubai, the only place where these formulas have been previously released under different branding, Rahim and his wife were able to experience the miracle of getting pregnant. Immeasurably low amount of sperm cells increased to 4 million sperm count after using the formula. Nora's experienced stronger and more frequent erections after just three weeks of use. Farad, age 52, saw a noticeably higher sex drive, which had been fading since its early 40s. Lastly, there's Rita, a supplement store owner who says customers gave results of increased energy, stamina and higher sperm count. A few of the men are in their 40s and 50s and said their sperm counts went up within the first month of using the product. In short, the BLO formula works. It's time to get this in the hands of millions of men.
Doctor Jalal, Ph.D. from the University of London, is in charge of supplement formulation and manufacturing. He's been selling these products in Dubai since 2015 and has put his trust into me to build a brand and sell his powerful herbal formulas in North America. My responsibilities include casting the vision, running paid advertising to acquire new customers, and finding the best audience leaders to partner with. Facebook and Instagram ads will be tested until proven before scaling for this. A fun and witty video ad campaign will be the perfect brand introduction between Manhancer and the men that need us. We'll be using a Shopify sales funnel as our main sales channel to build a loyal customer list, a powerful asset that we will own. Shipbob will handle fulfillment and supply chain management, keeping us focused on our expertise. The powerful community and coaches@capitalism.com keep us accountable and sharp. There's room to partner with appropriate audience leaders to gain momentum, like the relationships we've already started with retailers and the CSNN Alumni Network.
We'll be hosting our official launch party at the Ottawa Home Show February 24 to 27. The perfect place to meet our main customer Avatars and kickstart with sales on day one at our premium price points. Our initial two products, each selling 27 sales per day, yield a seven figure business. That's only 1,000 raging superfans Manhancer needs to acquire to hit the 12 months to 1 million milestone. Products three, four and five we launched throughout year one between September 22nd in March 23rd.
To multiply our sales and serve men with the next steps on their health journey.
Partnering with a major audience leader by May 22nd will compound our reach and.
Sales growth.
Using our trending stats, carving out 1% of the fertility supplements market means a $17.5 million business. And we can absolutely hit this target by doubling a $1.1 million run rate every year for five years. That gets me so fired up I could just bust a nut. So who wants to grow with manhancer and help 1 million men live a healthy, confident and purpose filled life? We've got the doctor, the evidence based research and exclusivity on the product line. We've got a successful business track record and are actively growing our audience using our addictive, super fun branding. And we're going to do this with or without the help of outside funding. If I was an investor, I would not want to miss out on a chance to be a part of this. I'm offering 10% equity in exchange for $200,000 to join my winning team. The money will be used on ad spend to aggressively acquire customers as well as purchasing inventory at bulk discount to maximize net profits. Look, this is happening now. If my vision for what Manhancer will do for these 30 million men excites you as much as it excites me, let's do it faster. Together we're going to build a business, invest the profits and create a system to serve a community of manhansing sex machines. Sincerely, thank you for your time. I've got one last question. Who's buying blow and selling high with me?
Thank you so much. Markian.
Go ahead and stop sharing. I have no doubt that you're going to change the lives of many, many men throughout the world.
Stamp Prentice, I was watching your face during that pitch. I would love to hear what questions you might have for Markian.
Markian. So first off, really like you as an entrepreneur. I like everything you shared here with this. That was great. Honestly, it's going to be incredibly difficult. Very, very hard for me, in fact, to not make jokes throughout the entire critique of the pitch. Honestly, I was a little disappointed when you said something about a massive growth opportunity and nobody chuckled. I was like, oh, wait a sec, I thought we were going to have a whole pitch and then you made up for it with a lot more.
So why did we call on Sam first?
We're never going to get out of there.
That's that joke ever.
I apologize. So I'm actually, I was wrapping up there. I was wrapping up with that.
There's a lot of moving parts to where I think this one is an early stage business. It's always difficult to go through and put some of that together. I think like you are pretty early Stage in this life here, there were some areas I needed some more clarification from the pit standpoint of like what our customer acquisition channels would look like. Like you mentioned, you want the capital to go acquire customers. Where do we go? Where do we find that target audience? Those kind of things, like knowing, like, what kind of person are you going after? Are you going after the person who's actively having the problem? Are you going after the person who's unaware that there is a moderate solution as opposed to an acute solution? I mean, getting a little bit more clarity on, like, what your target audience is, where they're housed, where you can go to find them. That's my legitimate feedback for you. Additionally, one area that I've always actually have reviewed the president of, I reviewed a couple of brands like yours. There are some guys over in Germany that I talked about this quite a bit. And the legit advice that I would give you is I think that there is a stigma around sexual health when it comes to men that focuses on this as primarily just a problem to be fixed. When in reality, we take supplements for our brain, we take supplements for our muscle build, we take supplements for our energy level, we take supplements for so many other things. So having this pitched is less of a solution and more of an ongoing maintenance. I actually think that there is a market to be had there. When you do your best to destigmatize that. Now, how you can go after that audience, how you can acquire that, that's your job, not mine. And so I would want to see some clarity on where you go to get the people whatnot. And then there's a lot of other pieces there. But I think I'd start with those basics. They kind of give me a little more clarity on my side.
Sure.
So now those are really good. So you are right, it being a natural product, it is something you do ongoing. It's not like the pill where you take it and then it fixes your life.
But.
One of the big areas that people want to do is switch away from the meds. Because I was mentioning a lot of these side effects they don't want to have to have anymore. So some people are okay with the idea of making this a health thing, not just like an acute performance enhancer and then not being it. So there's three main markets. One is just the vast amount of people that have. This is one. But this is just perfect for the people with diabetes that are already on meds that don't allow them to take the Viagras of the world because they can't mix it with their other medication. So that'd be definitely one market. And then the other one was the fertility one. But fertility is probably the smaller market just because it's such a shorter, it's a shorter timeframe compared to a man's journey throughout the rest of his life. But those are the three main markets to be looking at.
Just to play along with what Sam was saying. And I didn't really think about this at the time, but I don't know what your competitors do. If all of your competitors are talking about it being a problem. Maybe you flip the script on this one and it's just, it's a, it's an enhancer, a manhandresser. As someone said, that's a great name. And so instead of saying, hey, we're going to fix your problem, say we can make your make it even better. And my wife wouldn't want me to buy this product because she already has a problem with me all the time in the bedroom.
But.
And let me just one comment about your delivery. I thought the last two minutes where you were answering questions just now, it was natural and you looked good during the presentation. You read your script and so your jokes kind of went off a little staged. And so I think the more you can do and I thought Adam did a great job. He might have had a script but he bullet pointed so he was more natural. So I'd encourage you to rehearse and be more natural. Just a couple of business questions. So it sounds like you don't have any sales to date so far and are you full time dedicated to this?
Yes. So just a few brief sales on the website now. And yes, I'm full time dedicated. My other businesses are basically set up to the point where I'm not there, I'm not doing anything. And honestly the reason why I waited so long to do something like this is I wanted to make sure those were taken care of to a point where I didn't have to be there so I can fully focus.
Okay, well.
We talked to Adam about his evaluation being a little bit too low without much revenue and your valuation may be a little bit too high for me, but I agree with Sam. It looks like a strong entrepreneur and you've got a lot of good things going for you for sure.
Well, thank you.
Enter. Just real quick. You wouldn't believe the amount of times we change jokes around because you're right, the delivery is much different when it's like naturally, like off the cuff, like we're Speaking versus when I'm reading it. So, yeah, that's been a, it's been a challenge.
It's, it's an evolution.
What questions might you have for Mark?
Yeah, so the big question that I had coming into this, once I saw the first couple slides, I wasn't, I actually wasn't sure who your person was. And the reason is because it felt like it changed there. You opened with it being about type 1 diabetes and I was like, oh, that's weird that we have two back to back type 1 diabetes companies. That's odd for pitch day. And then it went straight to just general health for men over 50 who struggle with a problem. And I did a little bit of a head fake. So how would you describe your person?
Yeah, fair enough. So the reason I started that diabetes, they would be the absolute perfect. If we had to pick the perfect person, they have no other choice. Either take nothing or they take this because they're on the type of medication that doesn't allow them to take like.
A Viagra, for example.
But essentially this would be the natural version, that would be the everyday health version to someone who wanted to have something to enhance their stage. So I just started with the perfect person, but it's not, I don't want to narrow it down to only, only the type 1 diabetic male who's over 50, for example.
That's okay. If that's the case, then I would suggest that you make that not the thing you open with.
Okay.
It felt like, it felt like a break out right out of the gate. It felt like a confusing piece right out of the gate. Whereas if you had just made it like a chariot on top, like a sprinkling over here, it would have made sense to me. But I was like, oh, we're going in the direction of type 1 diabetes change. And then I had a hard time.
Catching up with that.
The other question that I have is who would you compare your brand to? Who do you look up that has had a raise or done some sort of an exit in the same space?
That's a great question. So, yeah, like I said, there's a ton of people on the med side. There's not as many people on the natural side. So there's definitely companies out there selling on Amazon or whatever. But there's no, that's what I'm saying. There's no one household brand name like a Viagra out there. That's what my vision is for this.
What's that?
New genics.
They could be not as familiar.
No.
Okay. They're really big in the US in direct response. So I don't know what their presence is in Canada, but Nugenix was the first name that I wrote down. On the medical side, I wrote down Roman. But Nugenix is fairly big in the US on the herbal side. Now you'll look at their formulas and laugh because you're familiar with this space. So I would look at what they've raised and. Or what they've been valued at, because one of the things that was missing in this pitch was showing the total valuations of similar companies. Even if you looked at Amazon brands that have exited, that was a big missing piece in this. With a. With a brand that doesn't have revenue, you have to justify the valuation in another way. And what would do it for you is showing the total valuations in. In the space. There was. There was one thing. I wrote this down and I kept it because now it's just funny. Halfway through your pitch, I wrote down, I really want some comedic relief.
And.
And then the rest of the pitch was comedic relief. So I would recommend that you pick a direction here. You're either super serious in this space or in this pitch, or you need to sprinkle the jokes out a little bit more evenly because it felt like a very sudden change about halfway through.
Yeah, I'm definitely the fun, kind of, like, you know, make it fun kind of guy. I just wanted to have the emotional pull of the story. So, like, you know, that's why I made the Terry the kind of story. But no, for sure, like, I want to make this where it's fun and easy for men to talk with.
This.
This is not obviously, like, a topic.
That'S easy to talk about.
When you make it kind of fun, it's going to encourage more people to do that.
So, absolutely, it's the fun. And this is a compliment, not a knock. I'm way more. I'm way more interested in investing in the guy that I'm talking to right now than the guy who just pitched. So there's a lightness and a joy about you right now. Whereas before it felt I could tell you were a little uncomfortable and the jokes didn't hit as much as they would if you were this guy.
Yeah, kind of like, especially the one line where I'm like, this doesn't seem like a big deal. And I was going to say for anyone who's seen me naked, but I'm like, that wouldn't fly with that tonality would have worked.
You're exactly right.
No but, like, that was.
That was part of the pitch.
I'm like, this is. This is not working when I'm saying it, like, reading it right. But like, but now, like, you know, a couple of people are chuckling. So it's like, those are the.
That's.
That's the real. That's the, you know, that's the real thing you'll get later. You know, that's.
Anyways, and then my last piece of feedback is I would highly recommend you pick a different name for your testosterone booster than Flow. That sounds like a prostate product.
That.
That sounds like a menstrual product. A what?
Or a menstrual product.
Oh, dear. Sam.
He'S not lying.
The idea was flow was as in like blood flow, but.
Okay, well, what. So once again, how about grow lots of protein powder?
I would put a little more thought into the naming of these products is what we're getting at here. Okay, but the name Flo, to me, I think there's a company, a supplement company called Beta Prostate that does a lot of direct response in the US and it. I immediately thought you were going to have a go to the bathroom because you're old and your prostate's the size of a bowling ball product.
That's.
That's what I thought you were going with. And it was a testosterone. And I just. I just didn't get it.
Fair.
Really quick on. I had one really quick thing here that spurred my mind is one thing, and this is for all pitches and people that are working on pitches a lot of times, and this is true in all of life, is we feel like diversity mitigates risk, which is true. Diversity mitigates risk. So it makes us feel safer. So when you're going there and you want to say, well, I want them to feel this emotion of gravity and this emotion of lightness. You have a diversity of emotions you want investors to feel. You don't always have to have all of those things in each pitch. I don't have to feel all the emotions, but the ones that I do feel, I want you to be able to concentrate and drill down on those. So if it's light and fun, you can focus on drilling down and concentrating your efforts in creating one style of pitch as opposed to feeling like you have to hit every emotion. And that being more powerful is just one thing I throw out there. Fair.
Like that.
Thank you.
Thank you so much. Mark Ian, that was phenomenal and I think got some very good laughs out of that.
Just admonition to everyone, like, look, we do this quarterly, every three months, you have an opportunity to come and present the panelists. Look at what happened for Adam. You know, some potential money flow being talked about right here, right today. Like, that's super exciting. But Markian, everyone can agree. Markian, super fun to talk to. Really great for his brand. Markian, reading the script. So this goes to the importance of just being yourself and preparation, guys, because this is a big opportunity and there were a lot of changes. Mark in bullet points or Mark in reading. And we went with Mark in reading and then we fell in love with him after the pitch. So those of you who are considering pitching in May it now. Yesterday was the time to prepare, ok? And we're here for you. That's obviously what we do. So that being said, thank you so much, Markin.
Thanks, guys.
We want to make sure that we leave an appropriate amount of time for our final presenter, Leah Boomsa Boomsma. Leah is probably one of my favorite people. I actually told her yesterday on pitch practice that I regret. She has no idea how hard we tried to get a woman panelist here. Truly, every woman we contacted had a scheduling conflict. And I told everyone that was presenting today that we were saving her because usually you save the best for last, but also because men for millennia have kind of got the spotlight and I wanted to give Leah and her brand the spotlight today. So we'll now hear from Leah. It's an honor that I think you're all going to enjoy to hear from her. So go ahead, unmute yourself, share your screen and let's hear it.
Go get them, Leah.
Leah, you were muted. We cannot hear you.
Apparently I have to do that in the other order. So.
I will switch that. There we go.
All right, we can hear you and we can see your slides.
All right, well, thank you everyone for being here today. I'm Leah Boomsma and welcome to Flipping Holder Kits, where parenting convenience is made easy.
I wanted to start a little bit about who am I? I'm a mom of four, and like most parents, I am often known as a child wrangler. But also like most parents, I am so much more. I'm a wife, a caretaker, a cleaner upper, a fixer, a planner, a friend. I also happen to be a lawyer and a business owner. Just a typical parent. And like most parents, wearing all of these responsibilities means that we are overwhelmed. Parenting is simply hard. And it's usually those millions of small things that arise during the day that cumulate into that extreme overwhelm. Here's a quick story about one of those problems. Back in 2013, when my oldest was just one year old, we planned to fly to visit my sister in Oklahoma.
