CMS (previously Content Manager): What is a preset? | CMS by Wix Data

In this video, you'll learn about Content Manager Presets. Presets allow you to jumpstart the process of building and managing your content driven website. They're great for showcasing any type of repeating content like property listings, portfolio projects, recipes, and more. Presets are made up of customizable, ready to use dynamic pages that grow as your content grows so you can display as much content as you want on your site. You can choose a themed preset or start with a custom one and tailor it to suit your content. Each preset includes pre designed parts that work together 1 collection for storing and managing your content, and 2 types of dynamic pages for displaying your content. The List page is a dynamic page that lets you show site visitors all your items in one place. From this page, site visitors can click on an item to see it on its own separate page. This is the second dynamic page that comes with your preset, called the Item page. Your preset will automatically create one item page for each item in your collection. You only need to customize this page in the editor once and your changes will be reflected on all other item pages connected to the same collection. To update the content on any of your dynamic pages, head to your collection where you can store and manage all your site content. Add an item to your collection and you'll get a new item page that displays the item on its own. Plus you'll see the item added here on your customized list page. You can always come back to the Content Manager menu to check for new presets we've added. Browse the list of presets and add them to your site. Now you're ready to add a Content Manager preset.
