Gizmo is our pink pug. He is an albino pug. Now, he is the whole reason that we started Cup A Pug. He was born with two heart conditions and he was going to be put down at the age of seven weeks. So we rescued him from that. But then we knew that he would need a 30,000 pound heart operation one day. So we decided to start Cup A Pug to be able to fundraise that. Little did we know that people were just as pug crazy as we were. The day we opened, we were fully booked for weeks and weeks ahead. People were flying all over the world to see Gizmo to spend one hour with him. We were then getting emails from people saying, can I buy a Gizmo Gizmo badge? A Gizmo T shirt? Will you ship to Canada? Will you ship to Australia? That was a demand that we thought we have to cater to. As part of the website, we started setting up a shop allowing us to take payments from all over the world and ship internationally as well. It's wild to think that it grew so quickly. Luckily we were able to do it so easily. With the website, the key to success, lean into crazy ideas. With wix, anything is possible.
