DJ Steve Aoki teams up with water videographer Amanda to shoot a lyric video for his 'Play It Cool' remix. They plan to film tow-in surfing on Maui's outer reefs, targeting eight-to-ten-foot waves with the Walsh brothers. Aoki wants to merge his high-energy music with the ocean's power.

Pure extreme connection is the key for me, whether it's through my music or my travels or both. So I came here to Hawaii to connect my two favorite things, music and the ocean. Last month, I searched for a professional water videographer to create my next music video and found this stunning wick site of an up and coming videographer in Hawaii. That blew my mind. I think she and I could merge our worlds perfectly in this video.
Hi, everyone. My name is Amanda. I was born and raised in Holland, and since a few years, I've been living on Hawaii. A lot of my inspiration that I get for shooting is in the ocean, so I do a lot of stuff that is surf related or extreme sports related. I shoot in the water. I shoot underwater. Those are things I love to do most. To be chosen by Steve Aoki to direct the official lyric video for the Play it cool remix is really the biggest opportunity I've ever been given. Obviously, I'm really excited and a little bit nervous about this project. Yeah, I'm really excited. Yo. Oh, Steve.

So excited, man. I cannot even start to explain how stoked I've been since the very first moment I knew I was gonna do this with you. I've been so excited, man.
I love surfing, and I flew from Brazil, so I know I'm ready for this.
Obviously, your music has so much energy and so has the ocean, like, so I think from my point of view, if you combine those two elements, it's gonna be gold. I'd love to show you a few things that inspires me and that I can show you on my wig site. Okay. These are things that I think would fit really well, I think, in the music video.
You know, I would like to like these visuals. Yeah.
So to take it to the next level and to get these visuals that we're looking for, I think we have to go toaster.

So today we are meeting up with the Walsh brothers to go to the outside reefs of Maui to tow in on some big waves. In the end, it's all about fulfilling this dream with Amanda and all of us having good vibes doing it. Hey, we can high Five or hug.

Well, I just wanna say thanks for everybody coming out, especially Steve flying all the way here. Amanda, we're going out into some large surf. It's gonna be dangerous. What we're gonna be doing is we're gonna try to get you the biggest wave out there. We're all here for Amanda. This is her day. It's her show. She's the boss. Whatever she says goes.
