The episode features 14‑year‑old parkour athlete Elise Bickley from Sheffield, England, discussing her love for parkour, training methods, and aspirations. Elise explains that the thrill of landing a trick drives her passion, and she practices rolls and other moves in a gym environment to perfect technique safely. The production team, including Devin Supertramp and mentor Kaitlyn Chan, discovered Elise via her website and plan to showcase her skills in a dramatic shoot at an abandoned airplane graveyard in the Mojave Desert, noting hazardous wind, heights, and debris. Elise also advocates for more female participation in parkour, highlighting the sport’s inclusive, non‑competitive community atmosphere. The segment ends with excitement about the upcoming shoot and a call for more girls to join the sport.
Well, parkour's the main thing, really. My name is Elise Bickley, I'm 14 years old and I'm from Sheffield in England.
When Devin Supertramp's team contacted her through her website, she stood at the side of the sofa with a great big grin on her face. Said, I've had an email. I've had an email.
I do this because I love it and I keep trying because it's the best moment when you finally land a trip.
Wait, can you see us?
Yeah.
Okay, we can see you. Well, Alice, good to meet you officially. As you know, Kaitlyn Chan is one of the world's best parkour athletes and we've done a ton of videos together. I've been searching for a brand new parkour athlete to work with and that's when I stumbled upon your website and I was blown away. With Kaitlyn as your mentor, I'd love to showcase your insane skills in an epic location. Have a safe flight. I'll see you in la.
Hey, how's it going? I was thinking if we go off of one of the things on my website, this roll right here.
Oh, yeah, that's sick.
That's the awesome thing about gyms is you can practice different ideas that you have in a safe environment.
I think this is the hardest part, getting the roll right.
Got it?
Yes.
That was awesome.
Now you're ready for the real thing. I told Devin that if we shot this video at the airplane graveyard, it would be a dream come true. Located in the Mojave Desert, with wind speeds up to 40 miles an hour, dangerous heights, and broken shrapnel everywhere, it would be the perfect parkour challenge for Elise.
Sa. I would like to see more girls doing parkour because I think it's a really good sport to try and it's not all competitive like any other sports. I don't mind the male dominant sport, really, because the community is really accepting anyway. It kind of feels like everyone's just trying to learn together and not compete against each other. I like it because I'm really active and it's kind of like challenging and it. It's like exciting and it gives you, like, an adrenaline rush and that's why I like it.
Super thanks to WIX for making this project happen. I had the opportunity to work with Kalyn and Elise, the incredible athletes that you saw in this video, and also definitely check out our websites that we made with wix. I'll have a link down below in the description to each of our own individual websites. Thank you so much for watching over and out.
