In this video, you'll learn how to use the Content Manager to display repeating content on your site. Dynamic repeaters are great for showcasing your content in pre made, neatly designed segments that you can update straight from your collection. In this video, we'll learn how to add a repeater, connect it to a collection, connect fields to components, and update the repeater's content from the editor. Go to the Add panel, then lists and grids, and drag the repeater you like right onto the page. Now you can customize your repeater's layout and design and remove anything you don't need. Once you've got the design you like, let's fill the repeater with content from your collection. If you don't have a collection yet, be sure to check out the link in the description below. Ok. Click on the Connect to Data icon and then on the Create Dataset button. This will link your repeater to a collection. Just choose the collection you want to link, add a name for your data set, and click Create. You'll now have a menu listing all the components in the repeater. Choose a component from the menu that you want to connect to a field in the collection. For example, let's connect this text component here to the Name field in the collection. Another way to connect the repeater to your collection is by simply clicking directly on a component, clicking the Connect to Data button and linking it from there. Great. Now that the repeater is linked to a collection, each item in the collection will automatically create its own container. When you're ready, click the Publish button. This will make your repeater available for you to use. Go into your collection from the Content Manager and click Sync to Live to make sure your changes are reflected on your live site. Nicely done. Now that your dynamic repeater is live, you can easily manage content straight from your collection, so you don't have to mess with your design every time you want to edit your content.
