In this Wix eCommerce tutorial, design expert Anthony Walker walks learners through the final steps required to launch an online store. He begins by showing how to connect an existing domain or purchase a new one via the Wix dashboard. He then emphasizes the critical role of SEO for every store page and product, demonstrating how to edit URLs, page titles, meta descriptions, and visibility settings in the editor’s SEO Google Settings. The lesson continues with social sharing configuration, allowing custom images, titles, and descriptions for social platforms. Advanced SEO options are covered next, including adding JSON‑LD structured data, custom meta tags, and setting canonical URLs, with links to ongoing SEO resources and the SEOWiz tool. Walker then shifts to accessibility, explaining ADA compliance requirements, potential legal consequences, and how to use Wix’s ADA checklist (language settings, visual indicators, etc.) to make the site accessible. The video concludes with congratulations, a quiz that awards a badge for the Wix Marketplace, and a promotion for the next course, Ascend by Wix, focused on marketing and business tools.

Hi, I'm Anthony Walker, a WIX design expert. And today we're going to dive into actually completing your online store and launching it. Congrats. You made it to the end of the course and I'm so excited for you. Today we're going to actually talk about launching your online store. In this lesson, you'll learn how to connect your domain, optimize your site's SEO, and make your site accessible for ADA compliance. So now let's talk about how to connect your domain to your WIX website. First, you're going to go to your dashboard and click on Settings. Next you're going to click on Domains. And now you can either choose to connect the domain you already own or buy a new one directly from wix. So it's very important that before you launch your online store, you focus on SEO for every single page on your website and every single product that you have in your store. Some of the reasons why SEO is very important is because it allows you to be found on Google across several different search queries. All right, so now let's talk about how to optimize your store for the best SEO. What we're going to do is go inside of our editor, go into store pages, which you can find in the Pages Manager, and the icon next to the page needs to be selected. And now we're going to go to SEO Google Settings. As you can see here, we can change the URL, we can update the page title and description, and we can also toggle the page to be shown on search engine results or not. Now we're going to dive into social sharing and why it's so important. So now if you go into your editor and you click on the Social Share Settings tab, you'll see that you can actually change the image. As it's seen on social media platforms, you can easily upload a new image and set up a different page title and description for every page in your online store. So now that you've finished your basic SEO and social sharing options, now we're going to move on to advanced SEO. So once you click on the Advanced SEO tab, we can make sure that we put here our advanced options for JSON LD code. Beneath that, we can also put custom meta tags, and right under we can also change our canonical URL. So SEO is an ongoing process. Below you can find some resources to help you with continued SEO success, as well as a link to use our seowiz. All right, so now we're going to talk about accessibility and why it matters. Accessibility is actually a compliance that actually says that you need to make every single item on your website extremely accessible for those who are disabled. In America, there's over 57 million people, people who are disabled who may not be able to access the content that everybody else can. Therefore, it's very important that you go through your site and make everything on your site accessible. So if you're not doing ADA compliance properly, you could be hit with a fine or even a lawsuit. There are actual lawyers who will scout you and find you and actually give you a lawsuit if you're not in compliance with this really tedious task. So just make sure that before you launch your website, you're going through everything very detailed and using our WIX ADA checklist. So although ADA compliance may be a little bit scary, we do have everything you need to be rest assured about your ADA compliance on your website. So you can actually use wix's checklist for improving your site's accessibility, which includes things like setting up your site's language, enabling visual indicators and much more. All WIX templates and ADI templates are also built with ADA compliance in mind. Congratulations. You've done a really great job and you came a long way. I know that building an online store is no easy task, but it's. You've done it alright. So below you can find a quiz that you can take and if you pass, you'll be given a badge that you can put directly on your website to be seen by all the users of the WIX marketplace. So if you're interested, you can check out our next course, Ascend by Wix for marketing and management business tools.
