Tonight we're at the WIX User Meetup in New York City and We have about 150 Wix users here ready to learn about social media marketing. These user meetups basically allow us to help them develop everything outside of just some website. So social media, email marketing, branding, design, all of those things that you don't see in the background, we help them with as a user meetups.
They can be traffic back to your social, they could be traffic back to your site. So it's a form of marketing.
My main
message to the audience is really be creative, own it. If it's their business, it's their authentic voice.
Tonight was really cool. I learned a lot because I'm not that computer savvy. So I learned a lot of cool stuff.
Some of the biggest takeaways that I got were ideas of how to implement social media within my WIX website. I love the simpleness of clicking it, adding an app and just watching it sort of come to life.
If you are a small business entrepreneur like my, it's low overhead. So it's teaching you how to be resourceful, how to use apps and resources. Technology that's out there normally you won't have access to if you don't have the capital. With wix, that's possible
actually to sit down with other people who's in the same boat that has a WIX website and also network with other people who's using the websites. I think it's a really cool thing.
These WIX events are really valuable, especially in a space like New York City where you can find that there's a lot of closed doors all the time. And I find that this is a really good way to network, meet people, bounce ideas off people and I guess just generally be inspired.
