What I do best is creative direction. So whether that's a game or an emerging consumer product, I can be the one person who has the whole view of the product, the flavor of it, who it's reaching out to, how it looks and feels, how it sounds. My name is Jenny Hanson and I'm a creative director. My website is jennyhansen.com I've become a gamer and I've become an animation geek. But the reason I gravitated toward that whole segment is that's where the fun stuff is. That's where the beautiful, playful stuff that you just want to grab even though it's on the screen. That's my favorite thing to design. I literally had not needed to update my website in eight years. Things have changed a lot in eight years. You can imagine, right? So I was thinking, oh man, I have to go find someone to code this thing and it's just going to be a headache. I just kept putting it off. I think the timing was perfect because I discovered wix and I was so happy that I don't have to hire anybody. I can do this all myself. The truth is, the kind of jobs I want are very colorful, are very fun, are very forward thinking. I like to work on new products that are like new games. Things are just being conceived of. I had a lot of experience and a lot of those things are very disparate. They don't all add up to one nice contained trajectory that my career has taken. Like literally within 24 hours of having that site up, I got an email from someone I had never met that hadn't heard of me before. So I have no idea how they found it. I was like, wow, this thing really works.
