OpenAI released a free ChatGPT copilot for U.S. doctors, nurses, and physician assistants that outperforms human doctors. Similar AI tools are coming to law, consulting, and finance. One speaker warns that not using AI in diagnosis could soon be considered malpractice.
OpenAI releases ChatGPT for clinicians. It just gave away to all US clinicians— these are physicians, nurses, physician assistants— a free AI copilot. And this copilot outperforms all human doctors.
The professions are cooked. Yes. This was a widely expected release. This wasn't a surprise. Those of you watching early releases, leaks out of OpenAI saw this coming months in advance. You can even know from those leaks what the next one to drop is, what the next profession. It's law. There's also one coming for management consulting and financial work.
From my standpoint, I've been saying this for a while. I think it's gonna become malpractice to diagnose a patient without AI in the loop.
