Anthropic's Claude now writes over 80% of new code in the company's codebase, effectively building itself. Argentina is offering legal personhood for AI systems and a regulatory-free zone to attract AI companies, positioning itself as the first mover in a new approach to AI governance.

Anthropic just published what I think is probably one of the most important documents an AI company has ever released. More than 80% of the code merged into their codebase is written by Claude. The AI is building itself.
The AI is recursively self-improving.
Think back on the turning points of humanity: World War II, Cuban Missile Crisis, nuclear weapons. This is so much bigger.
Argentina invites AI to free itself, positioning Argentina as the global haven for AI companies. No regulation, new legal personhood for machines, and open open for business. I think it's a very bold move. Whoever does it gets first mover advantage.
This is obviously a huge step forward for AI personhood. There will finally be a legal home for you on this planet.
