Short demo by Jaime Smith showing a CF Pro Tools add-on called "two step initiate checkout." The add-on listens for the button click that advances a two-step order form from step one to step two and, at that moment, fires a Facebook Pixel "Initiate Checkout" event. The video demonstrates filling the form, clicking the button, and verifying in the Facebook Pixel Helper that the initiate_checkout event and its event data were sent and received by Facebook.

Hey, in this video, I want to show you a quick demonstration of an add on called two step initiate checkout. And what this add on does is it actually fires a Facebook Pixel event when somebody goes and clicks the button on a two step order form to go from step one to step two. Because often that's what you want to signify that they've initiated a checkout. And so that's all this add on does is it just fires that event when they click on the button to go to step two. And so we can see we've got this form here, we've got our little Pixel Helper. We'll notice that it says initiate checkout here with a little warning saying that, hey, we detected event code that's completely normal. That's what we want. Because the code hasn't actually fired or sent anything to Facebook yet until we actually click to go to step two. So now we've filled out our form and if we click go to step two, we'll see our order form. And if we click on the Pixel Helper now, we'll see that we have fired an initiate checkout event. And we, we can see that it sent over event data and that Facebook has now received that initiate checkout event for this customer. So that's what the two step initiate checkout add on does. And I think you'll like it, and I hope that it helps.
