This YouTube demo (by Jaime Smith) shows a problem in ClickFunnels CART mode where customers can select an order bump without any main product, causing orders to be declined with an unclear error. The presenter demonstrates the failing flow (submitting a bump-only order) and then shows the CF Pro Tools add-on "Cart Mode Required" which validates the cart, prompts users to select a product, scrolls to the quantity selector, and prevents submission until a main product is chosen.

Hey, in this video I'm going to do a quick demonstration of the CART mode require products add on and show you what this does. So out of the box with clickfunnels and CART mode installed you get this, you get drop down selectors and you know, people can pick a quantity, they can also check a bump. If you have a bump offer and you and you have your quantity installed here, then what can sometimes happen is customers can come in and, and they can fill out the credit card form and I'm just going to put in a fake credit card number here and it's a test credit card number because I'm in test mode. So this will work and it will try and go through and they can actually check the bump without selecting any products here. And then they can go in and try and submit this order and it will go through, it will submit and then it will come back and it bounced back. And now with click Funnels it will actually throw an error and say product invalid order bump selection which really doesn't make any sense whatsoever as far as an error message goes. But what it means is that hey you, you tried to buy a bump product without any other products added on the order form and that doesn't work with clickfunnels anymore. They've started declining those and so that order declines and nobody understands quite what happened in this, this offer. This message doesn't really make any sense. So what we've done is we've actually created an add on called CART Mode Products required or required products. And so what that means is now if I go to this version of the page that has that add on installed and I go in and I do the same thing, I try and fill out my credit card number and I go in and I say oh yeah, I want the bump but I haven't actually selected any products up top here. Now it'll show me I've got just my bump in my order summary and if I click complete order now it'll say hey, you must complete a, you must select a product. And then when I hit ok it will actually scroll me back to the top to highlight hey, you need to pick a product and it'll take me to my quantity. So that way. And it'll keep doing that until somebody actually selects a product here and then once they select a product then they can go ahead and click through and submit the order just like normal. So that's what CART mode required products does and I hope you find it useful.
