Hey there, I'm Jamie Smith and in this video I want to do a quick demonstration of an add on called gated popup. And what this is is kind of like what you see. You see a pop up here and can't click on this and we can't do anything. It's just asking us to enter a special code. But we can kind of see it's blurred out, but we can kind of see in the background. We can even scroll with a little bit, but we can kind of see in the background that there's something going on. This page just kind of gives people that curiosity that hey, I really want this. You'd want to use this in the case where you want to send out a special code to people on your email list or something, give them something exclusive that only they can access and kind of gives a kind of a little way to build rapport, build connection with your group. Also could be a way for you to get people to, you know, want to come in and actually give you information and share their information with you so that they can get some sort of a special code. And so what you can do is actually now if they get the code, then you come in and enter that code. Let's just say our code is CF Pro Tools and you can configure this inside the add on. But you enter the code CF Pro Tools and then they click the little unlock button and it says, it gives them a little message and then it unlocks the content. And now they are in the page. And so that's how this works. And so if we were to, you know, if we were to go and just completely reload this page and kind of see what happens, it loads the page and then the content pops and then you get the page behind the scenes again, kind of blurred out. So even when the content's there, they can't quite read it, but they can make out kind of the structure of the page and everything else and kind of see that, hey, there's something cool going on behind here, but I want in here. And then they click the unlock it. It unlocks the page, takes a second here, unlocks the page and then they get into the page. So that is the gated pop up. That's what it does.
