Set A Subscription Product As A Bump Using ClickFunnels

A CF Pro Tools tutorial (YouTube) where Matt demonstrates a workaround to make a ClickFunnels bump product act as a subscription by using CF Pro Tools’ Multiple Bumps add-on plus Stripe. He walks through creating a core one-time product and a separate subscription product in Stripe, adding CF Pro Tools scripts (multiple bumps and order summary) and price overrides so the bump displays as $97/month but charges $0 at checkout (with billing starting after a 30-day trial). He tests the flow in Stripe test mode and confirms both the one-time payment and subscription are created. The method is Stripe-only and won't work with PayPal.

Hey, what's up everybody? Is Matt here with CF Pro Tools and in this video I'm going to talk to you guys a little bit about how to create a bump product and have it be a subscription product. That's something that ClickFunnels has never allowed natively until now. And I'm going to show you how to do it using CF Pro Tools. Let's go. Alright, so jumping right in, what we're going to do is create. We're going to take a bump product and we're going to turn it into a. We're going to turn it into an actual subscription product which doesn't normally work out of the box natively. Bump products cannot be selected as subscriptions. Or I should say backwards, if you create a subscription you cannot go into the product settings and note it, notate it as a bump product. So we found a way that you can still have a bump product and use it as a subscription. So now what we have is, is one bump here and we have, we're going to have a core product in the two step order element. So I'll create the products in just a moment and then we have a bump and then an image down here. Only $97 a month. So it'll be a $97 a month bump product. We're going to go create some products and we're going to create two of them. One is going to be the core product that's going to be our regular stripe product. Here's where you can change that from a subscription to, to a payment plan to a one time fee. So normally bumps could never be payment plans or subscriptions. Using the method that I am showing you here in this video, they can now be subscriptions or payment plans. Our core product is going to be a one time. So let's set that up real quick and just make a quick product. Here's where, by the way, bump product where you can click on that and normally notate that as a bump. But we're not going to do that here. You will need to go into your Stripe account and create the subscription product that you want to use inside of Stripe. So go in there, go into your products and create a subscription product in live mode and in test mode. Okay, this, what I'm showing you guys by the way, probably will not work. It will. In fact, I'm pretty sure it will not work if you're using PayPal Plus. So keep in mind this is a stripe only thing. Let's set this up as a subscription. All right, we're gonna do that. We're gonna go save in next newsletters monthly $97 a month. I'm just gonna go to my new continuity program. Hopefully it's A$97 a month 1. What you'll notice here is that there's no place to notate that bump as a bump. So it's not going to work the way that you would normally expect to set up a bump product. Right. So we're using multiple bumps as a workaround. To set this up, I am going to set up a 30 day trial on this. That way the first newsletter or whatever it is is going to be on a 30 day delay. That's how you would set that up. So if you don't already have a CF Pro Tools account and you are like, I already know that I need to do this or I want to do this, then go to cfprotools.com get yourself an account, get a 14 day free trial. I got a kitty cat that's coming over to visit. You're going to come in here, we're going to search for multiple bumps just like this and go to multiple bumps. If you want to do multiple bumps images, you would need to use that separately. Go. Make sure to go through these instructions. Don't just use what I'm showing you here. Give it a name so that you know which funnel it belongs to. So just create the add on and grab your code, go to edit page and then we're going to come in here and go to Settings, tracking code, footer code. We're going to add that in here just like that. Now we're going to do an order summary because we need the order summary. Right. That's going to be always, always is going to be the first one that you add in here. So let's go set that up. The order summary. So make sure to create a unique order summary add on script for this. So let's do this. Price overrides. This is what we want to do. I'm going to say yes and, and yes to both of these and we're going to add that product price override because it's a $97 a month package and it's going to show that it's $97. Unless you come in here and show that it's zero because they're not being charged $97 today, they're being charged $97 in 30 days. Remember that? All right, so we put that product ID that we just saved right here and then the price is going to be zero because they're going to be charged zero today. Now we have a script for that. We're going to copy that code out, go to settings, go to tracking code, footer code, put that code right there. So now we have the order summary and we have multiple bumps in here, state province, selector, none of that's really required there. But what you do need for this is multiple bumps and order summary. If you want to use multiple bump images, you can also add that in as well. There's one other thing that we need to do is, and that is that we need to assign this bump to that product that we created. That is a subscription that's $97 a month. So that's done with the CSS code. Now I already forgot what the, what that code ID was. So we're going to go get that again. We're going to come back down here and make sure that we edit this. And this is a different product id. So all we're really doing is changing that to that. So that CF dash, multi dash bump. So that is going to work with the multi bumps add on script so that that script knows to assign this particular bump to that particular product. And that product, by the way, is not notated as a bump. So it's a regular product that just happens to work with this. I'm going to come in here and just click on hide. So that way we can't see that in the editor. We're going to click save and then we're going to go view it. Because at this point, we've done everything that there is to do. We come over here, we have one product, my cool new book at 1497. You see that down here? Now if I click on this, you'll see that it says it's $97 a month and we now have a subscription added to this particular product. All right. Never before could you do this until now. We now have a way to do bumps and, and have them set up as subscriptions. How cool is that? Again, this will not work with PayPal. Don't try to do this with PayPal. If you try to put a fixed price product and a subscription product into the same cart using PayPal, it won't work. So let's go through and run a quick test. If it submits, we know that it worked. So it looks like it. Good. It worked. I didn't get any errors. We know that that's solid. So now we can go and check stripe. Okay, we're in stripe. We're in test mode. Let's see what we have here. So I've got payments. I can see that that $14.97 book that I just created for Bob+66 is there and we can tell that it says that. So the 1497 went through. And then we can also see that a subscription was created for this as well. So if you go to billing and you go to subscriptions, you can see that a. Let's see. May 1st. Today is May 1st. Happy May. Mayday. So we can see that my continuity program has started up for Bob +66. I've done a lot of testing, as you can see. We're good to go. Everything worked exactly the way that it should have. The payment went through, the subscription went through, it started up. We are good to go. That guys, is how you do a bump as a subscription or subscription as a bump product. Okay.
