A short YouTube video by Jaime Smith explaining the "rules of reciprocity" (from Robert Cialdini's Influence). The speaker advises giving away value without expecting return, argues this practice yields disproportionate benefits, and supports the claim with personal anecdotes — notably collaboration with Russell Brunson — and a viewer call-to-action to tag generous people.

Hey there. In this video, I want to talk about the rules of reciprocity first. Check out the book Influence by Robert Cialdini, and he'll go over the rules of reciprocity. But the long and the short is this. Give away as much value as you can with no expectation of return, and it's going to return more value to you than you could ever imagine. If you were to ask me 20 years ago where I would be, it would be nowhere close to where I am today, because I've applied the rules of reciprocity. If you take a look at this award here, here, and this one over here, I've gotten those working directly with Russell Brunson. I only got connected with Russell because I was able to provide something to him that was valuable. And in exchange, we began to work together. And so the rules of reciprocity are super powerful. And I'll share some more examples of that over the next couple of days. If you've got somebody that you know that is really, really good at just providing a ton of value and with no expectation of return, tag them down below and let's see what they think about the rules of reciprocity.
