This is a short YouTube tutorial (by Jaime Smith) demonstrating how to find which promo code a customer used when an order is placed through ClickFunnels using the Promo Code Pro integration. The video shows: locating a sale in the funnel, opening the buyer's contact profile and reading the CF promo input field under Additional Info, exporting the ClickFunnels sales list to CSV, opening the CSV in a spreadsheet (Numbers/Excel/Google Sheets), and applying filters to isolate rows containing a given promo code. It also explicitly notes that this tracking is available only in the Pro (VIP) version of the Promo Code plugin and not in the free version.
Questions this video answers
CF promo input (located in the contact profile under Additional Info, and present in the exported CSV).
No — this CSV-based tracking requires Promo Code Pro (the VIP upgrade).

Hey, what's up, everybody? In this video, I am going to show you how you can track the promo code from Promo Code Pro. A lot of folks have asked the question, where do I find the promo code that's used and how do you report that so that I can easily see who used what code? I just made a sale. Put it through. Let's go show you where you can find that. So if I go back, I come back here and I go to the sales for this particular funnel, okay. And then I can see exactly that there was a sale here. Now I'm going to click on the customer, Bob +100 and we're going to see his contact profile here. Or you can always look that person up if you know who you're looking up just by searching for their information. Up here in the search bar here on the left side, you'll see all the different tabs. We're looking in the Contact profile tab. All you have to do is scroll down a little bit and then down here in the additional info section all the way to the bottom where it says CF promo input. You'll see which code we used. And we used the code Jane to make that purchase. Now let's look at a way that you can actually download a CSV report of your sales and actually filter out which, which line items or which rows actually have your promo code in there. So if you have a lot of sales, you can filter them just by going to the funnel and then looking in sales right here and seeing who exactly has purchased. And then you can export to a CSV file. Now I didn't have a lot of people in here. I'm just testing this to see if it worked. So I went to my sales like my big sales contact. So you can go to your Click Funnels tab here and then click on Sales and it'll bring up everything. And then you can just look for like all time or this year and it'll bring up like everybody that's ever purchased anything. Whether test or live, they will both show up here on this list. Download that CSV into your favorite Excel sheet or Numbers or you can probably open it up inside of Google Sheets as well. Now I've opened it up inside of Numbers, which is a Mac program. And what you'll see is if I scroll all the way over, this is just the few things that you saw in that last sheet. But you'll see all of the additional information. It's kind of jumbled up. It looks like a mess. What you'll see here is that the promo code input actually shows up right here for Jane. So if you want to filter your entire sheet by the name Jane, or you can do CF promo input equals or greater than Jane, what you can do is just copy that out. I'll copy that. And then. Or you can do the same thing for every one of your codes. So what you would do in this case is you would just go to organize and then you would want to turn filters on. You want to organize this thing. So I'm going to go into filters, I'm going to add a filter by additional info down here at the bottom. And then we're going to deselect all of these so that nothing shows up. And then we're just going to do a search for what I just copied out and you'll see what comes up. And then you can select all and it'll bring up anybody that's there and it'll show you exactly what purchases belong to that one person. You can do this with every one of your promo codes. That's how you can do a quick report reportable search. There is no search functionality right now inside of CF Pro Tools or inside of Click Funnels to do what I just showed you. But if you download that CSV, you can use the filters and the sort functionality of whatever spreadsheet program it is that you're using in order to bring that up. One other tidbit, this will not work with the free version of promo code. This only works with the Pro version. So you have to have that VIP upgrade in order to get this information to track. Okay, hope this helps. Again, let us know if you have any questions. I'll see you guys in the support desk and take care. See you soon. Bye.
