This is a YouTube video titled "3 Books to read in 2024 📕" featuring a conversation between two speakers, including Charles Leikauf, recorded in July 2024. Charles recommends three business books for accounting firm owners and briefly describes his role in helping accounting firms grow through his CFO Growth blueprint.
Charles, as someone who reads over 100 books a year, what are the top three business books you'd recommend for accounting firm owners?
These are the three books that I recommend to read in 2024 if you want to grow a successful accounting firm practice. So book one is Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. This guy is an expert hostage negotiator and he shows you how to take those exact same skills and bring them into the business world so you can help your clients and yourself grow your business without, well, splitting the difference. Book number two that I recommend you read is the Four Cornerstones of Corporate Finance Value. It's by McKinsey and Company. And so this book is a defin read if you want to understand value, increasing valuations in companies, making them more profitable, and the theory of the best owner of the firm. If you want to learn more about finance and be smarter than all your other peers, you got to read this book. And finally, book number three. This is Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradbury. So he goes over everything in this book, but the most important thing you need to know is that emotional intelligence will take you a lot further in life than you could ever imagine with your partner, with your customers, with your business, with your employees. Applying emotional intelligence will take your sales and hiring skills from here to here.
So Charles, what do you do in life?
So I help accounting firm owners make more work less by installing the CFO Growth blueprint. Follow to learn more.
