This is a YouTube video titled "Are these really the only way to get more clients? 🤔" containing a discussion between two speakers about strategies for acquiring more customers, particularly focusing on lead generation methods suitable for accounting firms and fractional CFO businesses. The speakers analyze different approaches such as cold outreach, content marketing, paid ads, affiliates, and referrals, sharing practical insights on scaling a business through content and paid advertising. The content was created in late December 2024.
There's only five ways you can get more customers. Number one is you reach out to people privately, so you cold call, cold dm, cold email, whatever. The next one is that you make content that attracts people to you. The third is that you run paid ads. The fourth is that you get affiliates and partners. And then finally customers tell other customers.
Okay, so I agree, but that's only for certain types of businesses. For accounting firms, there's only really three ways to generate the right amount of leads at the right volume while still making out of profit. So the first thing is we can kind of rule out affiliates and referrals because both those won't really work if you're targeting a large volume of high level decision makers and business owners. Right? So you're kind of left with the cold outreach, content marketing and paid ads. Cold outreach is a grind, which, let's be real, you're not going to cold call hundreds or thousands of people. So the best thing that you can really do is focus on really good content and paid ads. And so that way you can make more calls, you can create better content, you can send more emails, but you can control things directly so you can pull lever to get more clients and more calls instead of just waiting on them to come to you. You can control your destiny. So I personally use content to scale my fractional CFO business to seven figures a year. Follow for more tips on growing your fractional CFO firm.
