Charles Leikauf was $30,000 in credit card debt working as a corporate CFO when he landed his first fractional CFO client and made $45,000 in six months. That sparked rapid growth. Within years he was making over $50,000 a month, more than his full-time salary.
But that first moment changed my life. At the time, I owed $30-something thousand in credit card debt. I was struggling for the job that I had. I wanted to get out of it. I didn't like it. I felt like I was just crushed in this political, like, giant that was, you know, a corporate job. And I finally was able to escape. That first client, I ended up making $45,000 over that 6 months for that first client. Then I found another client, and soon enough, a couple years later, I was making over $50,000 a month. At this point, I was a full-time W-2 CFO of a middle market company, and I was earning more money in my fractional CFO firm, my side hustle, than the actual business that I was doing.
