This is a YouTube video titled "What Is A Fractional CFO?" containing a monologue or presentation from March 31, 2025, explaining the concept of a fractional CFO and how they help business owners make financial decisions, particularly regarding borrowing and inventory management. The speaker provides guidance on evaluating loan terms and financial strategies to improve profitability.
If a business owner came up to you and they said, hey, I'm going to go borrow $100 for inventory, but it's a 73% annual percentage rate, which means that I'm going to go borrow $100, and at the end of the year I'm going to pay back $173, would you say that's a good idea now? If you've got your finance cap on? The answer is probably not. The questions you would ask is, well, how do you know you need that inventory? How do you know how much inventory you need? Can you get a buy without selling that specific inventory? Is selling that inventory even profitable? And then you want to look at, okay, are there cheaper ways to get that money? Are there different sources to get that money? Can you pay that money back over a shorter period of time and pay less, or pay it back over a longer period of time and pay less to borrow it? Can you borrow a smaller amount? Can you borrow half that amount for that inventory? You would ask all these sorts of questions, and if these are the things that naturally occurred to you, you might want to consider looking into being a fractional cfo. That's what I show people how to do in the material that I post here. So go ahead, give me a follow, and go through all my content, where I go over how to help business owners make more money.
