This is a YouTube video titled "You're Charging Too Low!" containing a monologue or talk recorded in June 2024. The speaker discusses a client's bookkeeping business, highlighting how many accountants undercharge their clients and the potential to increase prices without losing customers, emphasizing the importance of proper guidance to avoid negative consequences.
I want to talk about one of my clients to where they were struggling a lot in their bookkeeping business, right? They had maybe 15 clients, and they were charging really, really, really low. And they had a feeling that they were charging low, but they didn't understand how low. And what I did is I sat down with them and I looked at every single client they have, and we found out that they were charging a third to half of what they should be charging. And after speaking personally to hundreds of accountants, I can tell you most accountants are charging a third to a half of what they should be charging. What that means is you can probably double or even triple your prices and still end up with the same amount of clients, and that is a ton of free revenue. But if you do it the wrong way, it's gonna blow up in your face. And that's why you need help of someone who's done it before going through with you to do it so you don't lose all your clients, but you're also not working for free at that point.
