How to have a great meeting, tip number 2, know the output that you want. When you're planning a meeting, you need something by the end of it. You need to know and plan what you want to have at the end of it. It might be a decision, it might be a list, it might be a document, but there should be a specific output that you want from that meeting. If you don't do this, you're not going to know whether the meeting is successful, and the people that you're bringing together in the meeting aren't going to understand why they're there or how they contribute. So how do you do this? Well, before you arrange the meeting, think about the thing that you want to get out of it. It might be something that you can write down and print out, a decision, a checklist, a list of names of people who want to work on a project, a list of ideas. Whatever it is that you want to get out of that meeting is your output. So if you want to have a great meeting, Make sure you know what the output is.
