How to pitch an idea tip number 9: Say how long the results are going to last for. If you're pitching an idea and you're talking about an improvement in performance in your organization, make sure you say how long that improvement will last for. If the improvement is only going to last for 1 year before it disappears or is overtaken by something else, you have to say that. Otherwise, the audience may start thinking that improvement is going to last forever. Equally, if the improvement is going to start small but become big later on, say that and make it clear that the improvement changes over time. So when you're pitching your idea, say how long those results will last for.
