How to write great emails. Tip number 14: Include hyperlinks and not text URLs. If you're including a link to another article, a document, somewhere that you want someone to go once they use that link, don't just include the text of the URL in the email. Make it a clickable hyperlink. If you don't do this, it's harder for your audience, for the person receiving the message, to actually access that URL. They have to highlight it, copy it, paste it in. And if they don't do that accurately, if they— it might not take them to the right place. It also takes more time. So it's helpful and it's faster for your audience if you include a hyperlink instead of a text URL.
