This is a YouTube video titled "What an inspiring story" created on September 20, 2024, featuring Chris Koerner discussing the inspiring journey of Damola Adam Alekun, a Nigerian immigrant who became the CEO of Red Lobster at age 35 after a successful tenure at P.F. Chang's.
I am fired up today after reading about Damola Adam Alekun. This guy is a Nigerian immigrant. He made it into Harvard. He wakes up at 4 every day and runs 8 miles. He was the P F Chang CEO at age 33. He increased year over year sales for them by 31% by improving the dining experience, adding some color to the dining room, getting rid of Asian Mac and cheese, and he just basically says we want to do less better. He also added a bunch of technology to add to a better delivery experience. And today he became the Red Lobster CEO at age 35 to pull them out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
