A short YouTube monologue (by Chris Larsen) addressing whether people should wash cars at home. The speaker’s central claim: automatic tunnel car washes are more environmentally friendly than washing at home because they use fewer chemicals and can precisely dilute and meter chemical flow (via tips or "versa dials").
Shouldn't you just wash your car at home? What's the industry say about that? Through our research, and there's a lot of research that we can all do on the Internet, but it's actually more environmentally friendly to wash your car at an automatic car wash at an automatic tunnel than it is to wash your car at home. You're using less chemicals. There's a less concentration of the chemical because we have the ability to dilute it to the perfect dilution rate through the use of tips, different tips, or what they call versa dials that allow us to manually or automatically. I would say it's a manual control that automatically meters the flow of the chemical.
