A short YouTube monologue (by Chris Larsen) contrasting an "ownership" mindset with a "stewardship" mindset. The speaker argues ownership can foster entitlement and short-term thinking, while stewardship cultivates gratitude and a responsibility to use wealth to bless vulnerable people, family, community, and future generations.
Stewardship over ownership mindset. Right. Stewardship over ownership. I'm writing that down. I like that. Ownership taken in the wrong way tends to lead to more of an entitlement type of mentality. Like, and it's more about me, how quickly can I get to retirement and how quickly can I just live off of that? And it kind of stops there. You're right. Kind of just spend it till too long. Stewardship, I believe practice in the right way leads to a gratitude. Right. Like, wow, how blessed am I to be able to create and preserve wealth and be a blessing for mp most vulnerable people. Blessing for my family, a blessing for the community, a blessing for multiple generations.
