Alex Banayan argues time is the only resource you can't get back, unlike money or possessions. He shows clients how to calculate their hourly value to make them realize what unfocused time actually costs them. His point: prioritize time over material gains.
Time is the only resource we cannot get back. Can go and make more money. I can, I can get a new car, I can buy a new house. Like, it may not seem that way to your brain at first, but you can always make more money. I can never get the time back with my three year old, who's soon to be four. Right. Like, I can't get my 30s back. Time is essential. So I actually walk my clients through how much their time is worth from a productivity standpoint. Like, not how much they make per se, but how much their time is worth. That if they were tuned in, felt great, was focused, was their best self, how much money could they bring in for their company, for their business, for themselves?
