The event features a first‑ever Opportunity Marketplace where companies present internships and startup‑funding support, an introduction to the RISE executive curriculum used by top tech firms, and a hands‑on "Slaying AI Dragons" session where participants build personal AI‑agent networks using Claude Cowork, integrating career‑goal setting and responsible AI governance. Entrepreneurs Laurent and others share insights on following passion and navigating the challenges of building a venture. Speakers emphasize leveraging innate personality strengths, confronting fear, and adapting to AI‑driven job market changes. Community bonding, networking, and peer support are highlighted as core benefits. The video ends with a call to join the university’s changemaker community and attend future immersions.

Hi everyone, my name is Sami Asad, professor at Tomorrow University Applied Sciences. Although we're an online university, we're meeting in Berlin for one of our in-person immersions. The topic: careers, skills, and furthering your mission. Let's take a look.
It's my first immersion ever. I had no idea what to expect, and I'm meeting so many people from different backgrounds, different ages, and it's refreshing since the beginning.
Seeing people that I've met at previous immersions and catching up and hearing what they're up up to, but also meeting a ton of new people. It just makes me feel excited just hearing what people are doing, what they're learning about, what their life is like, and just connecting with people on a deeper level.
Welcome to the Berlin Immersion. It is so, so wonderful to see all of your lovely faces, to see faces that I've never seen in real life before. I'm sure you all feel the same.
So we have learners from all over the world that came here to talk about not only their studies, but that they're starting their venture, becoming leaders in their organizations, transform the organization. And here they had the opportunity to meet, to mingle with industry experts, with people that could really help them advance their career or have more impact.
Today we have something very special, the first ever TU/e Opportunity Marketplace. We invited companies from different industries to meet our learners today. They offer internship opportunities and guiding them towards their next step. We also have companies that are supporting our learners with their startups and how to raise the funding for their ideas.
Why is it so important to talk about your personality strengths when it comes to the field you want to engage with? When you focus on your strengths, you have unlimited power, literally, because you get energy while you're doing it. You can create more impact if you focus on the things that are already in you. versus on the things you think you need to learn and that you need to do more to get better. Just use the things you already have in you because you have it always.
Hi, I'm Oliver. I'm introducing the Tomorrow University students today to the concept of RISE. RISE is a curriculum that has been built for top executives around the world at Meta, at Google, at LinkedIn, L'Oréal, companies like those to help their professionals to grow in life professionally and personally and achieve what they really want.
In today's session at Tomorrow University, Slaying AI Dragons, we basically teach the students how to build their own network of AI agents. We used Claude AI for that, Claude Cowork, and we also added career goals and goal-setting mechanisms to help them to foster their path throughout the university, but also later to find the jobs they love. We tapped as well into AI governance and responsible AI because it's a big part of the puzzle to make it right.
Hey, I'm Laurent. I'm the founder of Active Giving and the co-founder of Recircle Impact. And today we took the students outside to talk to them about what it is to be an entrepreneur, that you have to follow your dream, follow your passion. It's not always easy, but if you really want it, you can make it.
Hello, I'm Shebna from Tomorrow University Tech Fellowship. We are in Berlin Immersion currently. Today we built an agent for our work, for my company. It's a real practical thing what we are doing with the peers here together. It's really motivating and I will use it in my own work when I'm back immediately.
I do not believe in the concept of dream jobs. I think it's an elusive fluke to chase because it suggests that the job that you're doing is the ultimate purpose and not a tool. to achieve what you want to do.
Because I think every change in the world means also there is a change in a positive sense. Yes, some jobs are not there anymore in the future, but there are so many jobs created on the other hand side. Look at the bright side of the opportunity because there are jobs like created by the day on what's actually possible with AI. Yeah, many skills you have today are exactly the relevant skills for that.
Fear is something that is not real, but it feels real. And in order to overcome it, you have to be aware that it's not real, but that you have to learn to do things with fear, actually. I wouldn't be here if I didn't learn to do things with fear, to go on stage with the voice shaking, my hands shaking, and because I was just too terrified to speak in front of people. But in order to overcome that, I knew there's no other way than stepping into my fear and do it, because you will only realize after you have done it that actually it was not that bad as you thought.
A lot of people ask what is my right job. You know, you guys are very smart and ambitious and try to figure out the marketplace where I fit into. I would start with, you know, more kind of right question. It could be what naturally you want to learn more, spend time without somebody telling you to do. That's your passion. Or what skills or expertise you, you would be excited to gain in the long term.
The highlight was for sure the community. That was a big highlight. People from all over the world with a similar mindset. Interacting, helping each other, supporting, and being friends, it was very good.
Hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into our community experience. Go on our website to see how we can help you grow, have a positive impact through our degrees and programmes. Join our community of changemakers, and we will see you in our next immersion in Barcelona.
