Today I just finished teaching my tribe how to do these gold abstract crosses, and today's lesson was all about learning to play and experiment with some different mediums. So we did real gold leafing on our crosses and our painting, and we started to experiment. I did it with some gold leaf. I use Mod Podge because it was handy and it works. And then we tested out some new material as well. I did this gold metallic medium that I kind of used as just like a gentle wash and for some extra gold in some areas. And then we did liquid gold. This one is water-based by FolkArt, and that is how I did my edging along here. So we were working with palette knife, creating this rough texture, abstract crosses, and then finishing with our gold and acrylics.
