Hey, there. I'm Christina from nursingschoolofsuccess.com here to help you get better grades in nursing school while also getting more free time to spend with your family, like your husband. Let's do this. Just kidding. I'm Matthew from Behind the Scenes, and we thought that we'd do something a little bit different because. Drumroll, please.
It's my birthday.
Well, not quite. It's Christina's birthday on the 20th. But we thought that we'd, you know what? Get to know Christina a little bit better and discuss some things that we may or may not know about Christina. So we'll start off with some easy ones and then go from there.
Full disclaimer. I have not, like, read this. I have no idea what Matthew's gonna say. These are things that maybe I don't even know about myself.
I doubt that. But we'll start off easy. Okay, number one, nursing was not Christina's first degree.
Correct.
Good. I got that one right.
This is gonna be like a test for you. Make sure all these are correct. Oh, boy. No, nursing was my. My second. Well, technically, it was actually my third degree because I did get an associate's degree, and then I got just that, general. And then I went to psychology. I did a bachelor's in psychology, and then I went to nursing. I never, ever, ever wanted to be a nurse. Whew. What happened?
We met when you were getting your bachelor's.
Thank goodness for that. Bachelor's.
You didn't use that for.
I didn't. I used it for you. We would not have said otherwise.
Next one is a question.
A question.
What is your favorite holiday?
Oh, actually, we just had a really great Christmas, which was the first thing that came to mind because our Christmas was awesome. But, you know, my favorite holidays, actually Thanksgiving. So, yeah, Thanksgiving is the best because everyone gets to be together. And I don't know. It's just. It's the kickoff of the Christmas season.
It's the whole winter holiday. Right.
I don't think that's true. I think that Halloween is the kickoff to the Christmas season.
Are we pushing it forward?
Yeah, backward, backwards, backward. Yes, we're pushing it. We're pushing it to November 1st all the way through. We'll just say my birthday. That's the Christmas.
That's the Christmas season. So it's. The Christmas season is actually what I was thinking about. But, yes, you're right. That it's. It's the. Winter's the favorite Christmas. Okay.
Favorite Thanksgiving.
Christmas, Thanksgiving, Christmas. One of the things that we don't do too much of. Except the holiday season where we watch all the Hallmark movies. Other than that. Other than that, we don't really watch too much tv.
We slightly have a life during the holiday season.
No. I even got the Hallmark app to check mark all the movies, and now they've updated it so all the movies throughout the year. They have a little checklist that you keep track of.
Just because Hallmark Channel has a checklist does not mean that you have to watch.
It is a competition. It is a competition and I am winning.
Do they actually have, like, scoreboards?
No. That would be awesome. That would be a great update. Hallmark. If you're. If you're watching, you do that. And I'll win.
I will. Scoreboard.
Yes.
Did you see Matthew Rafato in the top? Oh, my goodness. You have to, like, watch all the movies multiple times. You've got, like, five screens going in our house. Like, I'm watching all of the Hallmark movies, babe. I. I have a feeling that they're gonna bring that out.
So throughout the year, though, we don't really watch that much tv. We do have our. Pretty much just one now. Our. Yeah, our one TV show.
Zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom. Bet you can guess what it is.
Write in the comments what you think it is. With the help of me and my friends. Why?
That is so funny.
So write it down in the comments.
With the help of my friends.
That's really the one TV show that we. We watch. So by the way, that's coming back up on your birthday or around my birthday. Around your birthday, basically.
Like an extended. It's like my birthday week.
Yes.
Right. That's the thing. People can have birthday weeks. Why can't I have a birthday week? I want a birthday week.
All right, next up, a little more behind the scenes, a little bit more personal. Christina actually has a pacemaker.
I do, yeah. That is actually quite public. That's why I went to nursing school in the first place, actually, because I never, ever wanted to be a nurse. My parents are so funny. They would, like, pull out. I don't think I've ever told you this. They would pull out, like, newspapers and stuff and collect, like, newspaper articles on, like, cool things the nurses did in this area. You know how nurses are kind of like, always in the newspaper? So they would always, like, save those newspaper, like, front page cover newspapers for me and slip them under my door or whatever. Like.
So they always wanted you to become a nurse.
Is that the deal pushing me in that direction? My dad was always telling me he wanted Me to be a nurse, because, you know, nurses are awesome, but I never wanted to until I got my pacemaker. And here we are. I fell in love with cardiac. All right, here we are.
Let's see if you can catch this sometimes during the videos. Sometimes during the videos.
No, you can't tell them that, because then they'll go back through all the videos. Well, like, make fun of me.
Well, they can. I try and cut it out. I try and cut it out, and you tell me cut it out. So we'll see. But sometimes you do your little rabbit nose thing, and I think it's to push your glasses up, right? Yeah, but you do your little.
Actually, this is so funny. I was shopping in the grocery store the other day, and I was looking because I like smile when I see people, right? Like, that's a normal thing to do.
Let's, like, smile depending on the smile. Like, it.
No, that's not like a creepy stalker smile. But, like, you know, like, hey, we're not friends. We're totally strangers, but I think you're cool kind of smile. But I was smiling at this person, and all of a sudden I found myself going my little rabbit nose thing because my glasses were falling down. Why am I so weird? I'm literally walking through the grocery stor. I shouldn't be allowed out in public. All right, that was embarrassing. Thank you for that. Next up, I have to breathe through these.
Christina loves coffee.
Oh, that's a good one.
That is a good one. She can't live without it. Very, very, very, very, very first thing in the morning is coffee. She cannot function without coffee.
Like, 90% of me is coffee.
Love coffee. And has a weird obsession with these mugs that I'm sure that you'll start seeing pop up everywhere. Mugs of all different shapes and sizes and sayings.
I call them motivation mugs.
Motivation mugs.
Yes. And Target is a great place to get yourself a motivation mug. This one was Amazon.
Yeah, that was Amazon.
Goodwill.
Goodwill, yes. Which is.
We just got another one the other day. It says, today is a good day for a good day. I got that one at Goodwill that.
Leads into our next point that we love Goodwill. Yeah, we love Goodwill. Love Goodwill shopping.
Every Saturday, we walk to Goodwill.
Yeah.
Good times. It's good times. Finding books, finding extra special coffee mugs. They just make my soul happy.
Christina has a sweet tooth.
Oh, good gravy. It's bad, you guys. It is so bad. No, but here's the thing. Here's the thing. Why are you complaining about this I'm not complaining.
These are things that people may or may not know about you. You have a sweet tooth. My notes have a bullet sweet tooth. Underneath that are little sub bullets. So first bullet is candy.
Okay.
Yeah. You like candy? Reese's pretty much anything with peanut butter, which I cannot have because I'm allergic. So she gets to have all of.
It wrapped in chocolate, but it has to be wrapped in chocolate, like peanut butter wrapped in chocolate. Nothing better than that. Nothing. Very few things in life better than peanut butter wrapped in chocolate.
Candy. Candy. Sweet tooth. All right.
Yes, very much so. Oh, no. What's the second bullet point?
Second bullet point is ice cream.
Okay. Yes. Ice cream is good, too.
Yes. Ice cream week.
This is so bad. We have quite a few now that I'm thinking about it. We actually eat a lot of ice cream. We're flipping the food pyramid.
It's okay.
So here's the thing. Stress makes it worse, obviously. So when I'm stressed, I eat a lot more stress.
We're going into the stress aisle pretty soon.
I have a lot of weird things surrounding that. So ice cream, cookies, and candy. Yeah, you're totally right about the candy. But here's the thing.
And.
And you should not complain about that sweet tooth, because I perfected the chocolate chip cookie in nursing school. Perfected the chocolate chip cookie. And so now, well, you get chocolate chip cookies.
We do.
Because you can't have peanut butter.
Yes. Yes. Lots of chocolate chip cookies that I bring to work. And they like it. Yeah.
It's actually kind of a joke. And it's work because then everybody will know that his wife is stressed. Wouldn't they ask you, like, when my next test was?
Yes. They know when to expect cookies, when finals or tests or midterms come up.
Yes.
Good times.
Oh, boy. So glad to be done with that.
Yeah. So we don't get as many cookies, but still stress. Actually, that was my next one going into here is the stress baking.
Yeah, Stress.
Stress baking cookies. You said chocolate chip. We've done white chocolate macadamia recently. And those are really good.
Yeah, those are really good.
Yeah. And then backing up just real quick to put a cap on the ice cream bit. We do go to Baskin Robbins a lot.
Oh, yeah. Every three. 31st day of the month. You guys.
What is it?
It's like $50 scoops.
Yeah, it's Baskin Robbins Day because 31 flavors.
31 flavors. 31st of the month.
It's actually on our calendar. It notifies us every 31st day, which isn't Every month for everyone. That's not every month. It's only the months that have 31 days.
So just FYI, 31 days.
Don't.
Don't. Don't ask me how many days are in December or any month for.
For that matter. Actually, no. Okay, so pop quiz. Question. How do you know which one has 30? 31 or less than that?
Don't you do something weird with your knuckles?
I do my knuckles. I don't know who else does that. Everyone else just starts singing that weird song, and that's weird.
30 days had September, April.
What does that even mean? The days have the month. What does that. Bella, does that mean?
Except for February. So, fine. Which has 28 until April comes and makes it 29. Right? Come on my side.
So you take your knuckles, please. In the comments, the knuckles have 31 days. The little valleys do not have 31 days. So January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
But then you. Okay. I don't agree.
It's okay. It works.
What are we gonna teach?
It works.
This is one of those parenting things we'll have to navigate.
Okay.
Could this turn into conflict?
No. Because you just used your knuckles. He can sing while counting his knuckles. It doesn't. Okay.
All right. Conflict resolved. I know that there's a 31 in January because I have a friend whose birthday is on the 31st. So there you go. You know who you are. 31st, you're still younger than Christina, and.
You will always be younger than Christina. Fun fact.
Oh, man. But he did bring that up. He's like, but you're gonna be 60 before I am. That is not cool. Not cool. Anyway, Baskin and Robbins has 31 in January, so if I had a birthday week, it actually should be extended to, like, a birthday month, because then.
Then.
Okay, babe, we are living the dream. Like, January is the best birthday month because Burgerville, oh, has their hazelnut chocolate shakes. And if you don't know what a Burgerville is, I just can't.
Or what hazelnut chocolate shakes are.
Their waffle fries, which actually did not come out this year. And that was sad.
That was sad. They need to find a new manufacturing.
Yes.
Or something like that. Manufacturing. Need to find a new. I love them so much that I.
Actually called to find out where their waffle fries were, and they said that they lost their manufacturer. So if you happen to be a French fry manufacturer, more specifically, a waffle fry. Waffle manufacturer, can you please, please contact Burgerville so that I can have my waffle fries back yes, that would be very helpful. Waffle fries, hazelnut shakes and well, comes back and then you get baskin and Robbins 31 ice cream. What do they call it?
I don't know. I think it is Baskin Robbins day.
Baskin Robbins Day on 31 January. Best birthday month ever. My birthday.
Alright, next up, Christina used to teach Zumba.
Boom. Drop the mic right there. No need to go on.
Okay. She tried to get me to do it. I refused. But I came and watched her and that was creepy. Just kidding. I'm not gonna put that in.
Which means you have to put it in. I did used to teach Zumba and who doesn't love Zumba? If you like, don't like Zumba, you should not be watching this video right now. Let's be real. Oh man.
Another stress thing that Christina does. Hit me exactly in her sleep.
I hit you? Oh, yeah.
She walks, talks, flails. A little bit of hitting here and there. It is quite exciting. It was exciting. In nursing school you would wake up in weird places. But yes, it is mostly related to stress and related to nursing school. That happened a lot. A little less now, but.
Oh my goodness. Didn't I just hit you like a few weeks ago? Like it literally. I think I smacked you in the face.
Yes.
I don't know what that is. I'm so sorry. Let me formally apologize on camera that I'm sorry for hitting you in my sleep.
Thank you.
You're so welcome. I'm really sorry. Yeah, I will like, no, like I literally wake up in different places.
That's actually one of the intrepidations or worries that you used to have. I don't think you had as you have as much anymore with actually staying in a hotel.
Oh yeah, that's right.
No, no, no.
For sure though. For sure. When we would like stay in a hotel or stay another place, I would all. You know how they have like hotel key cards so like actually go to bed with my hotel key card somewhere on my person because I was so scared that I would wake up outside the room and lock myself out. This is why I went to therapy for anxiety. That totally helped though. I feel a lot less anxious now, I don't think. No, I think it was worse during nursing school because that was just so.
You know where else it was actually pretty stressful and where that was a concern is actually during our wedding.
Oh yeah?
Yeah. Wedding planning and actually doing the wedding. Yeah. I think you actually did walk around in.
During our honeymoon.
Yeah.
During our honeymoon.
Yeah.
Coming down from that wedding stress. And I walked around the hotel.
Yeah.
On our honeymoon. Yeah, that did happen. You're right. I don't. I don't know if I ever left. I don't think I left the room.
I don't think so.
I think I was just in the room, but it was a big room, so, I mean, it's scary. Like, you wake up, not in your house, different place, don't know where you are. My anxiety is not to be questioned. I think that's a legitimate fear.
Yeah. Into the oddities that is Christina. Really just two of them, but I find them odd, so I figured that someone else would.
There are so many. You were so kind to me to only pick two. Thank you. You're the best.
Number one, textures. What. What. Can you describe exactly What's. What's going through your mind and. Or what. What the deal is?
I can't feel textures. I cannot do it.
Like, different textures.
Like, legitimately, it bothers me, so I don't know what that is. I have, like, a tactile problem. So, like, I can't run my hand on this couch. Right. And. And I can't. Like, your jeans. Like, I can't. I can't touch. Like, I can't. I don't know. I just cannot, like, feel these things gonna come off really weird. I cannot feel things for a very long time.
It depends on the texture, though, because, like, those fluffy, smooth stuff.
Fluffy stuff is fine. It's like this really, like, tightly woven.
Ugh.
Or, like. I don't know. I think it's just, like, carpet. Ugh. I can't do it. It freaks me out. It freaks me out.
And number two, nobody's gonna know these things. Number two, something about standing water and not standing in standing water and, like, having to, I don't know, walk on your. The sides of your feet. I don't know what's going on. What. What's. I just.
I can't stand in standing water. You know what I think it is? Except I don't think I can really blame it on this because I took microbiology after I had this problem. But I think that in my mind, maybe it was Jesus. Maybe Jesus was telling me, hey, Christina, there's gross stuff in that water. You should not be standing in it. Then I took microbiology, and.
And for real, there are really.
It was over something. I just cannot stand in standing water. Like, showers. Like, bathtubs. I can't stand in bathtubs. Gross. Like, even pools I have a really hard time with, you know, Chlorine. Though knowing that there's chlorine does help. But I still. I walk on the sides of my feet. I cannot be.
And you're wondering why Daniel was walking around on the side of his feet yesterday?
No, it's me. I have the problem. I'm so sorry. Is that genetic? That's not genetic.
I don't think that's genetic.
Oh, my goodness.
How do we end this?
Ta da.
Do you guys now feel like you know so much more about Christina?
You know, it's actually funny because I always wanted to make sure that how I'm coming across on video is the same that I'm coming across in person. And do you think that's true?
I think that's very true. Yeah.
So I want to come across the same, and I have, like, so much energy, like, so, like, legit. If you think that I have so much energy on video, just wait until we meet in person. I will blow your mind.
True story. True story.
It's not the coffee.
It's not the coffee.
No.
You are very energetic and extroverted.
I taught Zumba, and You taught Zumba. Yes.
Hopefully you guys now know more than you did before about Christina.
More than I wanted to, I'm sure. Sorry, y'.
All. And I hope that this was entertaining as well.
Insightful.
Be sure to write in the comments. Happy birthday, by the way.
You just keep making fun of me. Write in the comments.
Write in the comments.
I do it like that.
Yes, you do.
Write in the comments. You guys, write in the comments. It's my birthday.
Happy birthday, babe.
Thank you.
Love you.
I love you. You're the best. That was scary, but good job.
Oh, thank you. Thank you.
Thanks for not embarrassing me too much.
All right, well, we'll catch you next time, or Christina will. I'll be back behind the camera, but we'll catch you next time. Take care. Bye.
Bye.
