In this video, I am going to give you the three things that I wish I knew before I started nursing school. Because seriously, if I had known this stuff, it would have saved me so much stress and anxiety. So I want to share them with you so you don't need to struggle as much as I did. Now stick around friend, because the last tip is the most important thing I could ever teach you. Now hit that subscribe button and click the notification bell and let's do this. So the first thing I absolutely wish I knew before starting nursing school was how to study. Have you noticed that nursing school is completely different than anything you've ever done in your life? You have to study totally different for exams. You can't just memorize stuff because you have to apply it and critically think about it. But no one ever tells you what that means or how to do it well, except for us in this video right here. So definitely check that out for real. It is so different. You have to rewire your brain to think like a nurse all within two weeks before your next exam. It's kind of bananas. So I wish I had come up with a study system earlier on in my nursing school program because it would have saved me a ton of stress and headache. So here are the top study tips that I wish I knew earlier. Don't read everything in the book and and learn how to answer nursing exam questions correctly. Now let's walk through the first one because some students get really upset about this when I tell them do not read everything in the book. For real friend. There is simply not enough time. I've said it once, I've said it a gazillion times. Focus on reading the sections of the book that your professors talk about in class. Period. End of story. This one nursing school study hack will save you every hours every week. I am telling you this is one of the most time saving strategies that I used to get straight A's while also being able to take every single Saturday off in nursing school? It's because I learned how to study smarter and not harder. I walk you through how I did this and my study process here in this video and I also have a free nursing school study checklist that outlines it as well. So click on the link in the description to download that. It is amazing. And if you're a nursing SOS member, log into your dashboard and click click on the Study Success course where I walk you through my exact step by step study process for how I got straight A's in nursing school. Enrollment opens a few times a year, so click the link down below to get on the wait list so you'll be the first to know when it opens again. You are going to love it. Now the next thing I wish I knew started nursing school was that most students do pass. I know this is totally different than what you've heard through the rumor mill in your nursing program, but friends, I am telling you, look at the data. Google your nursing program's retention and attrition rates because I bet dollars to donuts that the vast majority of students do pass your nursing program. I get it. I really do. It's easier to think that most students fail at anyway so it kind of takes the pressure off of doing well and pass, right? But really, most nursing students do pass. And you can check out this video here where I talk more about this and the other nursing school lies that you need to give up. This is a big one. Stop believing that you're going to fail out of nursing school because most students do anyway. That belief does not help you. It actually hurts you. It's going to keep you unmotivated and prevent you from doing your best. So stop. Stop it right now. Friend. You can do this. I believe in you. You are so much more capable than your real life. So get after it. Friend. You are going to be an amazing nurse. Now the next one is the most important thing that I can teach you. But first I want to give a shout out to our YouTube comment of the week which comes from JadeDees11 and says just when I feel that all hope is lost, here you are inspiring me all over again. Just a quick comment to say thank you. You're the best. Thank you so much friend. Seriously, your support means the world to me. We could not do any of this without you and I really feel so blessed that I get to help you through nursing school. So keep your comments coming because they really mean so much to us. Thank you. Now the next thing I wish I knew before starting nursing school is completely game changing and will really change your life once you really get it. And that is passing your exams are not life or death. And the worst thing that can happen you is a feeling. Now this comes from my coach, Brooke Castillo and it is so true. Friend, have you ever stopped to think about this genuinely? What's the worst thing that can happen now most nursing students would say that you fail an exam and get kicked out of nursing school, that's the worst that can happen. So I'm really going to make you mad right now and say, so what? So what if you get kicked out of nursing school, you just go back or you find a different program, you find a way to become a nurse. When students tell me that the worst that can happen is that they get kicked out, I know that's actually not what you're most concerned about. You're concerned about what that would mean and the feeling behind it that you're a failure. So getting kicked out of nursing school isn't the worst thing that can happen. It's the feeling behind it that you're a complete failure and won't amount to anything. Now that sounds even worse, doesn't it? Because honestly, getting kicked out of nursing school is just. It's an inconvenience, really. That's all it is. It means that you have to apply and get re accepted or apply to another program. It just extends out the time from now to when you'll become a nurse. That's it. It's a timing problem. And when you look at it that way, it doesn't sound all that bad. But if you believe that you're a failure when you get kicked out of nursing school, that really the worst thing that can happen. Feeling like a failure is really, really uncomfortable. And like Brooke Castillo says, that's the worst thing that can happen. I really wish I had had this mindset shift before I started nursing school. Because I will tell you friend, I would do the whole thing completely different. Now. Passing a nursing school exam is not life or death. But if you keep telling yourself that it is, then you are going to be stuck. Stuck in this constant state of anxiety and stress and you won't be as productive as you should be. The best thing that you can do in nursing school is stay calm and focused. That's how you're going to succeed and pass your exams. But if you can't stay calm, if you keep telling yourself that it's life or death and failure is the end of the world, it's not. I promise you. And when you truly understand that your entire life is going to completely change. Now in the next video, I'm going to take you behind the scenes on a day in the life as a stay at home mom and work from home nurse. And how I have used failure to my advantage to build this company. I would not be here today if I let failure define me. And I can guarantee you friend, that Learning how to overcome failure will be one of the best gifts you could ever give yourself. Now make sure to like, comment, subscribe and share this video with a friend. And click on one of these videos right over here so you can keep rocking nursing school and go become the nurse that God created only you to to be. And I will see you in the next video. Take care friend. Bye bye.
