Hey there friends. Christina here with nursingschoolofsuccess.com and today we are talking about three things that you must do to pass nursing school. Seriously, pay attention. I see so many nursing students messing these things up and I do not want you to be one of them. So before we get started, subscribe to this channel and click on the little notification bell and let's dive in. So the first thing that you've got to do to pass nursing school is to focus on on the right things. This is probably one of the biggest problems that I see nursing students struggling with. You are studying for a gazillion hours every single week, but you're still not getting anywhere. That's how I know you are not focused on the right things. There is only one thing that I recommend that you focus on anything your professors talk about in class. Just think about it for a minute. What your professors talk about in class will be what they believe are the most important things for you to know. And the things that they believe are the most important things for you to know are the things that they're more likely to test you on. So stop trying to learn every single thing about every single thing. You're going to waste your time. Instead, focus on studying what your professors talk about in class because that is what's most likely to show up on your exams. And here's how you do this. After class, read only the sections of the book that relate to what your professor talked about in class that day in lecture. This will dramatically decrease your study time while still allowing you to focus on the most important things to study for your exam. If you want a step by step guide on how I did this in nursing school, I've got a whole entire video on that to help you out. I will pop up a card right here and pop that link down below in the description for you to check that out if you'd like. Now tip number two. Learn how to hack nursing school exam questions. This is a huge deal my friend. Did you know that you can actually increase your chances of getting the right answer on your nursing school exam even if you have no idea what the correct answer is? This is a huge nursing school hack. I have a whole video series on nursing school test taking hacks and tips and tricks for you to check out. I will pop those in the card here and down below in the description as well. So make sure to check that out after you watch this video. But let me first give you two amazing nursing school test taking hacks right now. Real quick. Test taking Hack number one rarely call the doctor on nursing exams. You're being tested on what you as the nurse should be doing. They want to know that you know what to do. So before you select the answer to call the doctor, make sure that you really think about all of the other answers and make sure that there's not a nursing intervention that you can do for first before you call the doctor. Test taking hack number if you've never heard of it, it's probably not the right answer. I found this to be true for me during nursing school that if I came across an answer on an exam that had a medication or a nursing intervention or treatment listed that I've never heard of before, I figured that that was probably the right one. Wrong. I was so wrong. I have found that test writers often like to throw you curveballs and make you second gu. So when you see an answer that you've never heard of before, it might be that curveball. So think twice before picking it as your correct answer. Now, the third thing you've got to do in order to pass nursing school is to learn how to critically think. There are really only two parts to critical thinking in nursing school. Number one, connecting the dots and all the concepts together in your mind. And number two, planning ahead. Now, connecting all of those concepts together means when you're at nursing school clinicals, or you're writing a care plan for your patient, or writing a paper on your patient, you understand the disease processes, the disorders or health issues that your patient is facing, and then you're able to connect all the dots together between all of those things. I have a critical thinking cheat sheet to walk you through this process step by step. Make sure to download it after you watch this video because my friend, it's going to help you out a ton. That link is down below for you to snag it right after you watch this video. Now, the second part of critical thinking is planning ahead. Like we said, you need to make sure that you've thought ahead for everything that you're gonna do. Before you do it, you need to plan out the steps and plan out what supplies you need to bring. That way you won't need to waste your time and backtrack. Now, to help you out with this, I recommend making a list of the most common things that you do at clinical and then write out everything that you need for each one of those, the supplies and everything. That way you always know what to bring when you walk into a patient's room at Clinical. And of course, I have a video series on critical thinking for you to check out. That link is down below to those videos down in the description for you to watch them if you think that would be helpful for you. So those are the three things that you must do to pass nursing school. Focus on studying the right things, learn how to hack nursing school exams, and learn how to critically think. Now before you go, make sure to download your free critical thinking cheat sheet that we talked about before and subscribe to this channel.
