In this video, I'm going to give you my top favorite apps to help you succeed in nursing school. I'm going to give you my favorite apps to help you save more money to raise your grades and learn how to answer nclex style or nursing school style questions. We're going to talk about an app that will help you manage group projects better in nursing school. This is a huge hack. I know that's a huge problem for nursing students. So I'm going to give you an app to help you with that and also an app that's going to help you take take better notes in class. So let's talk about my favorite apps for nursing school. Now the first app that I want to talk about is called the nclex RN Mastery app. Now if you have not heard about this, it is amazing this app, you can just download it onto your phone and it is a whole database of NCLEX style questions to help you practice and get in the mindset of how to answer those nursing school style questions. So I'm going to pull it up on my phone and I want to show you exactly what it looks like. So you can just log in and it will pop up with the dashboard where you're able to really choose which topics or categories you want to answer questions about. So we've got Med Surg labs, psych, Mental health, Maternity, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Fundamentals. You can actually upload to the premium version which gives you even more, more questions that you can answer. You can scroll down and go to SATA questions so that select all that apply those SATA questions. Maternity, again, mental health. Then they have also got some really comprehensive, nice video tutorials under their multimedia content here. So like heart sounds, lung sounds. If you have questions about those, then if you scroll further down you can create a custom quiz which is awesome. You can. So let's say that if you are covering just particular topics on your next exam and you want to create a custom quiz that kind of mimics those topics, you can definitely do that. So it just lets you be more effective with your studying. So you're not like if you're in cardiac, then you're not going to answer questions about maternity and OB if you're not quite there yet. See what I'm saying? And then you can scroll down and go through skills and terminology. Like they just have so many, so many resources here on this app. So let's click into let's go Med Surge and then you can click into one of these categories. Let's Choose Med surg and then you can see the breakdown of all of the body systems disorder. So metabolic, endocrine, musculoskeletal, oncology, genetics, neurology, hematology and immunology. You've got everything here for you. So if you are studying those topics in nursing school, all you've got to do is go onto the app and then answer the questions related to that topic. And what I think is super, super duper cool is that actually at the bottom here you can go to progress and it will track your progress. So as you answer questions and go through like med surg lab, psych, mental health, maternity, all those topics. So then that way when you get to really preparing for the nclex exam, you know where your weaker areas are and you can focus on studying for those weaker areas, which just makes your study time a lot more effective because you don't want to keep studying things that you already know. So this app is super, super cool, super, super helpful and I really, really, really recommend it for nursing school. Now I always, always recommend the nursing students practice answering nclex style questions because these are the same style of questions that you're going to see in nursing school. You're going to see that similar style of question like how they write the question on your nursing school exams. So, so really the more that you can practice answering those nursing school style questions, nclex style questions, it's really going to help you get in the mindset of answering them, getting more confident with how they're worded and you can really learn to find the nuances in the questions to help you then pick the right question. And I've got a ton of videos on this topic to help you out with identifying those little tips, tips and hacks in how to answer n click style questions. Even if you do not know the correct answer, there are some certain nuances of how the questions are written and some hacks that you can use to select the correct answer even if you really are not 100% sure what it is. So I will link up all those videos down below in the description, so be sure to check those out if you are struggling with answering nclex questions in nursing school. Now the second app that I want to talk about is Google and who doesn't love Google, right? Google Docs now friend. I know that group projects are a super strain, super drain on your time, your mental energy and sometimes your emotional energy too in nursing school. So group projects can be a real point of stress in nursing school. And really I love this app for using it during group projects, Google Docs, because you can just create a new document and share it with everyone inside your group. And then everyone will have access to it and can edit it from their own computer. And all the edits will go straight to that same Google Doc. And then if you share it with other people, you can see what they've written. If they're typing right now, as you're looking at it, it's really, really cool. You can see what they've done, what they haven't done. And so it just makes it a lot easier to keep everything in one place, make sure that everyone is on the same page and that people are actually doing what they should be doing. So you can easily, more, more easily keep track of everyone's progress and make sure that the group project is actually progressing as it should and that everyone's doing their part. So we loved using this in nursing school. It was just so, so, so helpful to have just one place where everyone could go write in their notes and finish the project together. So Google Docs, I love, love, love for that. Now I've got two more apps to share with you. One is going to help you manage your money better, save more money in nursing school, and then the second one is going to help you take amazing notes and help you keep all of your notes organized in nursing school. So let's talk about the first one is every dollar. And this is from Dave Ramsey's team, Ramsey Solutions, the EveryDollar app. And we use it personally for our house. And I just love it. I love, love, love all of the features of it. It really helps me feel more confident that we are managing our money well, that we're saving our money well, and that we are being good stewards with everything, the all of the abundance that God has given us. So let me pull up the app here. Now we are in the EveryDollar app here. And you can just start by creating a new budget. So let's see what this walks you through. So this is super amazing because it's going to show you exactly where every dollar is going. That's where it gets its name, every dollar. So you can just click here and track where you are getting your money from. So in nursing school you could be doing a whole lot of things right, like working. So let's say you are working and you're taking home. Say let's say $1,500 per month working. And then let's say you have some financial aid that you are getting that month and let's say that your financial aid, let's go, let's say is 2000. That's not in the right area. Okay, so financial aid, let's say 2000. Add those zeros. So now what's going to happen is that it's going to add up. You're going to have total $3,500. It's going to add it all up for you. And then you can go down the list and they auto populate all of these categories that you might need to use, like, you know, mortgage or rent, natural gas, trash, cable, groceries, all those things. And then you can actually edit these as you need, like pet care. Like if you don't have a pet, you can delete that. Delete. And you can change, you know, you can change the titles of these as you want and just say like medical and whatnot. And then you can put in your, you know, the amount that you spend or planning on spending. So if you know that you have a lot of medical expenses, like $200 per month, then you put that in under medical and then that is budgeted for. And then as you go through the month, you can actually create new transactions in here. Let's add a transaction. So we're going to add a transaction and let's say it was $50 and you can choose your budget items. So let's choose again, let's scroll down to where Medical for our 200. So that is going to be added into our medical budget. And then when you go back into medical, it will auto populate that here that you have spent $50 on medical expenses, which is super, super fancy. And it's kind of like a glorified Excel spreadsheet that doesn't have all the boxes and it's way easier to use and it's super, super fun. So you can go into plan. This is everything you have planned. Then you can do what I've spent. So you can actually see the things that you have spent here in the right hand side. So let's scroll down to medical again. We've spent $50 here in medical and then we have remaining $150 in our medical expense expenses for the month. So it's just a super, super easy way to track how you're budgeting your money, where it's going, what you're spending your money on, and where you can save more. And if you link it to your bank account, which is what actually we do personally, we have it synced up to our bank account. So then it will actually auto populate all of our transactions during the month. So I don't even have to add, like manually add new transactions. It just auto populates for us every time we make a transaction. And I just actually drag and drop into the right categories. So it is just super, super nice to be able to see where our money is going and when we have extra money at the end of the month, then what do we want to do with it? It's just super fun to kind of decide what we want to do with that extra money. So I hope that app helps you out. It has been amazing for us. And Again, that's the EveryDollar app from Dave Ramsey's team or Ramsey Solutions. So every dollar. And now the last app that I want to talk about is going to help you really, really make sure that you are taking effective notes in class, that you're not losing your notes anytime. You know, because you like lose your notes in your car, on your kitchen table, on your bed. Like you, you've got notes everywhere in nursing school, am I right? Like, this will keep them all in one place and all super organized. You can find exactly what you need exactly when you need it. And so this one that I Recommend is called OneNote. So OneNote is by Microsoft. And I want to show you here, we've got this bar on the bottom. I created a widget to my phone, so I added a widget. So anytime I need to just have a write anything down, I just have this bar right on the bottom. I can click New doc and it will just pop up here with a brand new new sheet for me to take a note in. And it is just super, super convenient. And then what it will also do is you can add stacks and notebooks and pages and you can actually categorize all of your notes based on your different classes. So if you have a class for Med Surge, you can actually create a notebook stack for your med surg class and then you've got all of your class notes underneath. That's like subcategorized under that main category of your med search class. So just keeps everything super organized and it all syncs together between all of your devices. So if you have stuff on, on your laptop, if you're taking notes on your computer at school, then to your phone, if you think about something or just want to study really quick on your phone, if you have a few minutes, like if you're standing in line at the grocery store or wherever you are waiting to pick up your kids from school, you can just pull up your notes on your phone. And set study wherever you are. It just makes it super, super duper convenient. Now another thing that I did want to mention is that you can take pictures in OneNote as well. So I'm gonna show you how this works. You could just like snap a picture. Hey, you can see this is what I look like. Now our whole setup here is pretty snazzy. So I could just snap a photo and then it will go straight to OneNote. So this is super great if you have taking notes in class and you just want to take a picture of them or if you have a receipt that you want to take a picture of. You know, just things like that. Anything that you want to take a picture of and save in OneNote, which makes it super easy to do that. So friend, those are my favorite apps for nursing school. To really help you succeed not only with managing your money, but also helping you keep your sanity while you work on group projects with other students. Make sure that you're taking notes effectively and then also helping you answer nclex style questions. It really is really, really, really important to get into that mindset of how to answer nursing school exam questions. So the apps that I shared are really, really going to help you do all of those things. So I hope you loved these apps.
